I'd also like to add that my Palm Zire 71 has been gathering dust since I bought my N-Gage (yes, it would be the same for every S60 phone). I can't find a reason to have a PDA these days... and I used to be a Palm fanatic.
One reason to have an N-Gage is that it's one of the few Series 60 phones without a camera. An increasing number of places are banning camera phones.
Another reason is Pathway to Glory. That game would be awesome on any platform, but only with an N-Gage can you play it online... wherever you are.:)
It's a pity that so many people can't get past the console's initial reputation ("it suxxors, so why even look at one?").
I admit, though, that I use my QD more as a Series 60 phone (ebooks, shopping lists, calendar, Opera, e-mail, and, sometimes, even talking to someone) than as a game console - and when I do play, I play a lot of non-N-Gage games (like those from Gameloft, or those at Handango, or emulators (NES, Spectrum and others). But Pathway to Glory rules.:)
It makes me wonder, though - who were the RETARDS who chose Barroso to head the EC? Didn't they *know* him? Didn't they notice he was universally disliked in Portugal? Didn't they *talk* to him first? That guy is and always was an idiot (though Santana Lopes is even worse).
Try Puzzle Pirates. A veteran can create a new character and, with it, crush an average player with a months-old character on their first battle - or drinking competition.

and is the RPG character system used in Fallout 1, Fallout 2 and Lionheart. (I think Fallout Tactics, too.) It's a lot like GURPS - that is, skill-based, with selectable advantages / disadvantages (why would you pick disadvantages? Because they have a negative cost, so you get more points for advantages, skill points and stats).
To me, it's the opposite. I know Windows very well, though these days I only use it for games; I've also used Linux and 2 of the BSDs for years, and also use Linux at work. Yet I am drooling over the Mac Mini exactly because it's something *new*. Undiscovered country. Something to explore, something which can surprise me. And, for the first time in a Mac, it won't cost me an arm and a leg.
You don't understand. You DON'T want your grandmother to install stuff on her PC.
You ask her what she wants to do with the computer. "Oh, just read and send mails, go to a couple of sites, write a letter and print it, maybe play a little Bejeweled". So YOU install all that for her, and don't give her root / Administrator access. Linux booting into X with a few large, friendly, unmovable icons on the desktop is perfect.
Limited? Sure. But she'll be the only one in her group of friends whose computer doesn't break down all the time... and who won't need to call you to fix it (instead, she'll have to cook something to attract you!:))
Everyone of you is dissing the N-Gage because everyone else does so. How many of you have ever used one?
My QD has:
- eBooks (and they're actually readable) - Java games - Symbian games - a fully-featured web browser (not just WAP) - an email client which supports POP3 and SMTP, with SSL - PuTTY (SSH client) - Bluetooth - a good D-pad - N-Gage games (yes, they have got better than the first ones from 2 years ago! Pathway to Glory would rule on any platform - it's X-Com or Laser Squad, only better, including the graphics and sound, and with multi-player) - fits in my pocket
and it was cheap, too.
I guess it's fashionable to talk shit about stuff you don't know jack about, these days...
They voted for that act because, at the time (just after 9/11), anyone who voted against it would automatically be labeled a "terrorist supporter" and have his/her political career finished.
Remember, people weren't exactly rational at that time.
Iraq has nothing to do with "terrorism". "Terrorism" is just Bush's excuse to do whatever he wants, wherever he wants. "If you don't agree with us, you're supporting terrorism."
Gettysburg was one of the most innovative RTSs ever, and it *was* his design. But, yes, you're right about the rest (although Colonization wasn't his either:) )

Who's the moron who modded this a troll? It's absolutely true.
Agreed!

I don't think so.

Try Pathway to Glory. If you like Laser Squad or X-Com, you'll love it.
Hey, did I get a...?
... here come dozens of anti-N-Gage comments by people who never touched one! :)

North Korea = communism, yes. But I haven't heard about any terrorist attacks by North Koreans recently... or ever, for that matter.
:)
Don't go around calling anything you don't like "terrorism". Doing that... is terrorism!

Trillian Free is *not* shareware, it's true freeware. They simply have a *separate* paid version.

What's worse is that many people fall for it.
Hmm... sheep.
Less than 90% now... :)
Jeff Minter = Yak.
It's not a question of money, but of having a time machine. :)
Dude, you just described "Event Horizon". :)
I believe M.U.L.E., Archon and others aren't included because... well, it's ONE joystick, right? So, no 2-player games.
