Agreed. I can handle some ads. Really. I'm OK with some. They happen. I get it.
Putting ads in the list of email that look like email was just a dick sneeze move.
In the end, Yahoo and everyone else that feeds us ads needs to understand that a lot of people are going to ad blockers because they're sick of getting visually assaulted every time they load a website. Geocities is dead and gone. Why is it that every site is trying to look like them with ads everywhere and auto playing crap?
Using their twisted logic, I've pirated 30GB in the past 2 months... Except that I didn't pirate anything... I just made the mistake of playing Starcraft2 and having patch after patch after patch rammed down my throat.
This made me sick when i was in school. Every fucking class I took, the text book had either the prof or someone in the dept listed as one of the authors. New dept chair meant new text book for my class. There's also no excuse for changing a college algebra text book every 2 years.
They should have gone with YouTube+ which makes a lot more sense (anyone notice Google is trying to distance themselves more from G+?). This minimizes confusion with RedTube and the uproar when "innocent" kids go there "accidentally" instead of YouTube Red.
This is Google trying something new. I give it 18 months before they kill it officially (which is 14 months after everyone abandons it because of the forced integration to G+ that we know is coming).
Yes they're still being sold because we're still getting those in some Dell machines here. You can still buy 17-19" 4:3 monitors too even though wide screens are cheaper!
Having worked with.gov agencies, the amount of bull shit that they need to go through to purchase ANYTHING some days is mind numbing. We had to:
Buy from specific vendors who had a contract (so no amazon/newegg options)
Only buy specific products (ex: GSA merchandise)
Fill everything out in triplicate by hand and wait for signed approval (taking weeks)
Specify the cost center for purchase and pray that there's money in the budget or wait for someone to determine whether something like a HD truly is office vs maintenance vs misc equipment
Why all of these hoops? Ultimately to have "transparency" in our purchases so when an external entity comes in and looks at the accounting books our collective asses are covered because we purchased from a contract retailer instead of bobs-hard-drives.com.
For what it's worth, the purchase order for that XP machine with the 80gb drive was probably initially submitted when that was a "normal" size
I'm tired of the pro-tech (sales monkeys) people acting as though a kids development will be hampered by them being exposed to fundamental tools like chalk, paper, pencils, etc. On one hand they boast about how simple to use tech is these days that even a 3 year old can use it. Then they try to ram tech down your throats at the first opportunity.
Why the fuck are iPad's being used as part of a gym class now in my kids school? To justify the expense of the new shiny tech that everyone is using for fear of the boogeyman jumping out and teaching kids how to do stuff without the school sponsored electronic crack dispensers!

Simple. Just pick up the phone and ask the dial tone.
It's reverse psychology. Whatever Russia does, the West needs to do the opposite. Coming soon: Lada's in the USA!
On the bright side, that's 600 kids who are committing to be outside and walking today!

Even Firefox doesn't eat up THAT much RAM!

MOO !! You starcraft cow! STARCRAFT COW MOO !!
"There is now cow level"
...our collective western society would be much better. Like it used to be.
It used to be better? When?
4.... 3... 2.. 1.

Sharktopus!
Failure to generate revenue apparently is a loss.
Everyone on earth is losing trillions every second.
They're using RIAA/MPAA math.

It would somehow be their fault if he got his Smart ED stuck while trying too since there's no sign that explicitly says DO NOT CHARGE YOUR CAR HERE.
But without Joan Rivers, who would play the female C3PO?
Caitlyn Jenner. That'll solve all of the politically incorrect issues.
He's got a lot to say, and a captive community to say it to.

Why not simply dispose of them? They're a small minority, nobody would miss them. If this was Europe, we would settle the matter in a week.
It would take that long to finish the debate about when the first meeting to decide their fate will be!
You've got to be fucking shitting me?
I literally said this out loud when i read the headline + summary.
Try calling Bell for service some time. Their call centers will make you realize that Bell truly is a 4 letter word!!!
Disclaimer: I'm an American and had to work with Bell on a project. I only have the likes of Comcast, TWC, and AT&T to compare Bell to.
