"The machine loaded the hardware onto Holbrook's head."
I'm not sure what the literary device is being used here, but that word choice really makes it the entire blurb leading up to this point makes it sound like the robot became sentient and was on a mission. The last line (the bit I quoted) was equal parts gruesome, horrific, and fantastic. I would read a book by whomever wrote the bit there.
And like I said, I was going on what I was told. If you can still use "on-tap" to grab a screenshot of text on your screen, and tap on words to get context related searches, then that's a-ok by my books.
As I understand, Assistant strips away Google Now. I also understand that Assistant is all voice-driven. Hopefully I'm wrong, but if not my two biggest concerns are:
- No more tapping on words to get translations/quick google searches
- Now I have to look like an idiot talking to myself/my phone to do things I could have done silently in the past
True, but his actions were basically to see how far somebody could go for $5.00. If he didn't post the proof, nobody would believe him. He further went on to make fun of the media by saying how they take shit out of context and fail to report on the proper story, which, ironically they did again - using that very video as one of their points trying to show that he's antisemitic.
Am I a fan of PewDiePie? Hell no... but this smear campaign by the media is absolutely fucking nuts, and they need to be put in their place way more than a guy that just plays video games for YouTube, and heads to a site to see how far $5.00 will get him.
I guess I've just been fortunate enough to be part of a union that has had my back as a temp to get me into a permanent gig. They also do a lot to fight management against their bullshit and attempts to stiff the regular crew.
As you can tell, I'm not 100% certain on how BT works on a technical level... can't you use TOR to download the.torrent file and then open that through your torrent client outside of the VPN?
I seriously don't understand how people are so anti-union. I assume none of them have ever been part of a union... They're the reason why we have breaks, weekends, and 7 hour shifts (instead of unlimited-hour shifts). The only way I can see somebody being anti-union is if they are a slave-driving exec who will have to suddenly start treating their staff like humans.
I hate these "investors" with a passion, and stories like this and the deal last year with Pokemon Go further back up my point. We've got these companies that are run by "Shareholders" and yet, as we can see here, it seems like shareholders have no fucking clue what it is they're buying... they just nab shit up that sounds related to something that's gone popular. 0 research done. I'm pretty comfortable to likening investors to cancer.
Sucks to be DHS. My FB password alone is like 255 random characters.
What about 2FA systems? They can have the password, but they're not getting the token.
My fave part of the whole DMCA Google thing is that now it's really easy to find what you wanted. Just click the DMCA note at the bottom of your search, and it shows all the sites removed c/o the DMCA. Those are probably the droids you're looking for.
It's tricky, you see you already make me pay "Income Tax" on the money that I make, but then you also tax me a "sales tax" on the things that I buy... but I can't buy things without an income, so I messed up this double-taxing concept and didn't have enough money budgeted. I'm sure you understand.
No shit they plunged. Who wants to spend an infinite amount of money for a piece of software they will never fully own, when they can just drop a hundred bucks for a version that's a few years old and theirs forever. No wallet sapping. No bullshit.
I have an LG G5. The modules were near non-existent. I'm not even sure where you could go to buy them - were they carrier exclusives? The idea was solid, but the marketing behind it was a huge flop.
Not the OP, but having an SD card allows me to keep the files I flash for a factory reset on the SD in case I have to wipe everything and start over. I can do it entirely on-the-go. No amount of cloud storage would allow me to do that.
Until phones start coming without bloat, and carriers/manufacturers provide constant updates to their phones even after they stop being sold, custom ROMs will continue to be used.
Should have just added a line to the EULA that he would be able to gain access to your account(s) if you register. Nobody reads the EULA, and there'd be no case against him because it would be in the EULA.
This should also set the precedent that the government can be arrested if they put backdoors into things... of coursehttps://yro.slashdot.org/story/17/01/18/0527225/dutch-developer-added-backdoor-to-websites-he-built-phished-over-20000-users#, that will never happen. Nothing is illegal if the Government is doing it.

This sounds like good news to me... if it allows unauthorized code to be run, it could very well be the beginning of the homebrew scene!
"soup pannedit"? Wha?

Assistant is all voice-controlled as far as I know. No more tap-on-the-words to translate/search for them.
Google Now is far better in almost every way.

Who the hell expects decent results over a 1 year scope? Most mortgages are what, 5 year minimum? They should have molded the data as such:
Have you changed addresses in the past 5 years
o YES
o NO
Do you plan on moving in the next 1-5 years?
o YES
o NO

A nightly (for most of us) redundancy check and defrag of the ol' noodle?
I've never understood why people go from Android to Apple... Why would somebody willingly pay so much more for so much less?
One you give away, the other you take with you.

I also don't have 120gb of mobile data, either.

What if Bill Gates got into a scandal regarding Watergate?
Bill Gates Watergategate?
