I have a good connection, and I don't care: I don't want to be forced to ask permission every time I want to play the game. I'm not 12:/
Also, didn't Bioware/EA cancel someone's account for criticizing them on their forums? Oh, sorry, it turns out "it was a mistake", "we would never do that"
Seriously, though, the iPod's wheel is one of the most confortable and intuitive controls I've ever used, specially for movile devices. One would think Microsoft would have tried to do something about that. I mean, they have the money and the resources. Or, at least, a tactile screen that's confortable to use. Then they'd have a chance for an iPod Killer.
or, for that matter, Iain Banks -- they may not be SF, but they're still geeky).
Actually, he's there at #14, with Consider Phlebas, though. I gess, just as with Pratchet's, they chose this one because it's the first of the culture books. I haven't read them all, but it should have been Use of Weapons.
If he marries your mother, Marge, we'll be brother and sister. And then our kids...they'll be horrible freaks with pink skin, no overbites, and five fingers on each hand!
When executed on or past 01-01-2004? If it's as you say, what if the machine isn't booted on that day? the worm stays, keeps on spreading itself and it's there for good...
I agree with you. I like to say that LOTR is a book to read at least twice. The "problem" is that you really get into the story and, first time around, descriptions can get tedious because you want to know what happens next, going quickly through the details.
I found it way better the second time I read it. Then you read it quietly, getting not only in the story, but also in it's world: the settings, people, and all the little details about the stories and myths of Middle Earth (elves, dwarves, the stewards and kings of Gondor and Rohan,...)
Yep, reading the original proposal you think "but... wasn't that suposed to be a punishment?:P"
You might like or not Red Hat, but this way at least M$ is loosing something (pay for all the hard an, even worse, the competition installing the soft). The other way, they where just doing what they allways do, even easier...
That was exactly my reaction...

and if they somehow go down, access controls will be removed.
So.... our best move would be to let Valve go down?
An iPod, and I'll get my own free music ^_^
You where lucky, We could only afford one '1'. And it was enough for us!
The clickwheel without the wheel part.
"There is no wheel"

But what they are doing is installing the lock in the street door of the apartment building

4. Profit!
only, this time it isn't a joke
> (F x (R x D + V)) + S) / A
> V = Actual intelligence score of post
shouldn't that go dividing, too?
that torpedo did not self-destruct. You heard it hit the hull, and I... was never here.
> I'd be astonished by any evidence that disproves that the best trilogies have three parts.
:P
well, the best one was a triology in four parts. (Then they added a fifth which didn't really fit, imho)
It's a billiard ball. Forget the Inprobability drive, they're gonna reach Magrathea via a nice Massé shot
... and then I remember it's on my sig :)
Problem is, it's to far away from the original trialogy. Too many things in the middle, new characters,...
;)
Zahn's triology, on the other hand, was written exactly that way, as a sequel, with nothing in between (_later_ other things where added).
Having read only vector prime from NJO, Zahn's books are by far my favourite, both the NR and the Hand of Thrawn.
Well, as long as it's nothing from Kevin J. Anderson, I'm fine
(AKA, hey, let's make another Death Star/modification/prototype/super weapon/etc)

Then go and read the Silmarillion
You should post the "evil bit" RFC story :P

The sequel to "The yellowship of the king", from the great book "The nerd of the rings" ^_^
A bit late, but congratulations :P
