I'm not interested in VR personally, but your descriptions are very imaginative. Thank you for sharing that!
Do you get to build your own assets in the virtual world, or do you only have the capacity to import pre-built objects/designs? Have you played through any of the Matrix as Neo? (Who, a college roommate kept insisting, actually took a bullet in the leg for his troubles during the famous Neo-doge-bullets scene.)
Shift you off of booze and onto coffee, donuts, and jesus.
While coffee and donuts are dubious, Jesus has been pretty helpful in individual's lives, although some people even screw that up so badly that we have a word for it: martyr(er, it gets screwed up and ended by others, to be precise).
Windows 10 is what made 2016 my Year of Linux on the Desktop. I have one legacy Windows 7 device for some Steam stuff (and a tool that converts assets to a format usable on my Linux sytem), and the rest Devuan and Fedora GNU/Linux. Microsoft made me a Linux [desktop] user.
So for "Internet-capable" computers, is that just another lame piece of bloatware on the pre-installed Windows OS (how naive of me to think people still purchase desktop or laptop computers)? What if a person wants to install a free and open source operating system? Are they legally obligated to find whatever replaced Dan's Guardian when it went defunct?
Was Star Trek so parochial and small minded that the next humanoid race was only 16 light years away???? In the Star Trek Universe is every Goldilocks world "habited"?
Yes, many, many class M planets (originally a designation in the Vulcan lanugage) are filled with life. The Star Trek universe is filled with life similar enough to humans to make great stories, and life different enough to make fantastic stories. Some scifi universes had only humans (as the intelligent lifeforms), so the conflict was all internal to the human condition. In the Star Trek world, we see intra-human conflict as well as inter-species conflicts.
My employer was affected. Many employees could not authenticate to our third-party webapps because we use whatever the cloud-provided Active Directory SSO solution is. Ah, well. I wonder if this violated SLAs and we get some money back... My company is always concerned about not violating our SLAs to our customers (Saas), so hopefully we extract the same pound of flesh from our vendors.
All good things must come to an end. And that end should have been around season 4 or 5.
Not all entertainment should be high-brow. This stuff was somewhere in the middle. Entertaining, and I'm glad it was in small chunks of 22 minutes a piece.
"Civil engineer" is the term used to describe engineers who work without bullets flying at them from armed enemy combatants. If you have such bullets flying at you, we call you "military engineers."
I was too late for the release date of Descent and Descent II, but when I got ahold of the game as a youngster, I absolutely loved those! If I had time for multiple games in my limited free time, I would try Overload.
The whole 6dof was not lost on me, even though I have little frame of reference. I got pretty good at fine control with my QWEASDZXC and numpad.
Agreed, created an account there just to camp on my username. I'm not migrating from GitHub *yet*, but I will jump at the first mention of "migrating to windows".
Good idea. I just did the same (different from my/. username).
Squeezing energy out of null-space-- isn't that a ZPM?

First dupe!

So, can somebody who RTFA or otherwise knows this topic, did they crack PGP or are we still good here?
No, they don't want people to get use to the idea of, "--out of ammo-- [shoot outside the LOS to reload!]"
No, that's a "burner".
No, not everyone burns their food every time.
Is that like gaydar: BiFi?

And opponents of the Swiss government (whether domestic or foreign) are offering $15,000,000 in Bug Bounties To Hackers!
And queue the list of devices with the trusty old admin/password combo... Tada! Security!

No more comments from the peanut gallery!
Wow, it worked! Never heard of it.
So who da %(*@#/ paid for the uniforms from the original series and especially TMP? A much more sensible sponsor is responsible for TWOK, obviously.

Pffft. That's nothing. In 2014 I started using an AI to control my services. They call it... systemd!
Well, whaddaya know! We found the one guy who actually read the articles!
Easy! In Emacsilla Firefox, just use C-tab, C-N, 48, [enter]!
