I notice that articles about China seem to bring a certain number of posts about how we in the west shouldn't be arrogant and assume, that just because we value freedom of speech and such rights, the chinese people want the same freedoms. And of course there ARE cultural differences between East and West. But I also have to wonder...if the chinese people are so content with the pace of change in society, then why does the government need all those citizen censors, and great firewalls, and controlled wikis? It would seem that there would be no need for such stringent methods of control when the people don't want western ideas.
While I agree with your sentiments, I believe you may have overlooked the most important word in the original post...'reparations' So let's see some outrage, now. I know I have been offended by this invention to the tune of, easily, $500,000.
it's good to see any new advances in mine safety. I'm only about 50 miles from the sago mine area, and i live literally a stones throw from an old ( now reclaimed) deep mine. A walk through any graveyard around here will show how dangerous mining has been over the years.
On a side note, am i the only one who saw the article title and wondered what some pirate radio station would have to do with safety??? Probably so.
Not overcrowded at all:) That's pretty much my reasoning; the existing servers are weighted overwhelmingly towards the 65+ side, and starting out a new character means a solo existence for most of the time. Since I would rather play as part of a well populated world, this new server sounds pretty nice. I dropped the game about 2 years ago and only recently started to look into going back. As for being "threatened or intimidated" , nope, I'm not....but thanks for the free psychoanalysis of my post:)
I'll re-up with Everquest when they get the new 'progressive' server up. It'll start with just the original EQ world, and (hopefully slowly) add in the expansions over time. I'd rather bash moss snakes in cloth armor than go through the twinkfest that EQ has become now.
I have a similar situation here; I have been getting frustrated and bored on WoW. I'm getting excited about the new server being talked about on Everquest, though. Sounds like it will start out with just the original world, then move through the expansions as certain mobs are killed. So I'll be giving SOE my money again and clubbing polar bears and spiders in Everfrost:)
from a few weeks ago. They didn't breed those in Europe; they just caught a few Chernobyl ones. They would have got a bear too, but those things move amazingly fast on all eights.
Yes it is..I know I am constantly having to tell my girlfriend to put on more clothes and cover up that lingerie. then unfortunately I usually wake up.
What would have made more sense would have been to start and guild, make it clear during recruiting that such language would not be tolerated, and go about one's business.
Isn't that pretty much what they did? By stating the guild was GLBT friendly, they were letting prospective recruits know that insulting language like that wouldn't be acceptable. I think Blizzard just had a CR person shoot from the hip, and hopefully it will all be sorted out. The official policies say that insulting language is against the terms of service, and I don't see how advertising a GLBT fiendly guild can possibly be seen as insulting, any more than advertising a guild for people on East Coast (U.S.) time is insulting to someone in Europe.
If nothing else, driving it around with a broken wheel will probably attract the attention of the Martian Highway Patrol. And you just know how tough they are on those out-of-planet tourist types.

Yes, but where do you fit in "Profit!" ?
Or these researchers have been watching just a bit too much Cartoon network.

It's like a testament to FSMism. These scientists are probably true believers.
*laughs uproariously*
(gotta have an Ed)
10 - The researcher submitting it is wearing a fake nose and glasses.
9 - You notice that the pages, instead of being typed normally, are actually ripped out of a book and stapled together.
And so on and so on...

No, the 'second' person they asked about memory returned. The first person never did. That's pretty clear, and a bit above 12 year old level writing :)
Got any hot zygote pics? cause after those cells start multiplying..well that's way too old.

Note to self: When the blogosphere mood gauge hits 'PMS'...unplug router for the next week.
I should have charged you for giving you that good of a straight line:) Too bad I didn't realize it was one when I wrote it.
A patchy bug.

Lucy was a fraud, it conveniently left that out.
Do you have a source for that?
