    I could be wrong as IANS (I am not smart) but the navy uses ULF and VLF to communicate with subs, because radio waves don't travel deep. Is this the same principle?

    At least you you didn't call 911. My father works for a police in Fl. Every time teh shuttle lands in FL people run to the phones to call 911 and report gun shots.

    You cant honestly think this will be used so create a larger food supply can you, at least not in the short term. It's loads easier to just let dogs reproduce on their own. It's also incredible cheap and incredibly effective. So someone brings up a story about cloning dogs and in the submission they put the word ostensibly and people jump up to say that they are actually doing to make more food.

    What a load of crap. /. where we love sterotypes

    Part of me wants to comapre this to buying stolen property, if the police find out the least that will happen is that you will lose the property and it will be returned to teh proper owner, at the worste you can be found guilly of pssoesion of stolen property and face crimnal charges.

    I know it's apples and oranges but the fact is if you don't have a legal copy then you SOL. It's not like MS makes it hard to see if the copy is legit.

    Whaher or not there are gaps now, there were gaps at one time. Things like 110 all thought not being discoverd were predicted given the periodic nature.

    Then again, I only took up to Chem II in college so take that with a gran of NaCl2 no Na2Cl no I mean 2NaCl.... you know what I mean.

    You know you could always turn it off, or not get it at all, I don't think they are suggesting that using it at all times is mandatory... I myself would like something like this. I live in the metro DC area and would use this often if they implemented it at the Smithsonian.

    To some people anything would be arguable. The people who deiced he can direct go see his movies, give him money to direct movies and star in his movies. I don't have an oppinion one way or the other on his directing abilities but obviously some people think he does a good job or else he wouldn't be directing at all. This sounds like th aruments on /. about how much pop music sucks and we should give more attention to indies and new talent. Kevin Smith was like this, his early movies were great and then he did Jersey girl, I don't remeber it doing that well....

    i didn't know you had to join the union, I just thought you were out of the loop on negotionations and in cases where the union would provide you a lawyer or whatever if you were unjustly fired etc.

    I agree.

    Our company does this, other companies I've interviewed do this. You can't blame them, it's not like every one is completely honest with there resume. It didn't phase me a bit when I was quized at my last interview.

    almost everyone who watches fansubs will buy DVDs of shows they like.
    What do you base this on. Why would they buy a dvd of a fan sub if they wouldn't buy a DVD of one aired on TV?
