Mom guess what I got the internship at MS......few days later.... This is you cube you will sit here and go through email that have a sender in the range of st*@hotmail.com and sv*@hotmail.com
{bad)Joking asisde it has to have a lot of automation just reading the subject line of 4 million messages at one subject a second every second would take apx 65 years.
Fl, where I am from has a water table that is really close to the ground, we got sink holes all the time. But that is unrelated to TFA, they say that they hit water mains.
In either case you don't have to dig to far to hit water.
It looks like it because Verizon fell victim to using the lowest bidder for it's subcontracting in laying the cable, while it isn't FTTP's fault it's verizons fault for not hiring better contractors and the sub contractors fault for doing shoddy work to save a buck.
I'd want them to stop to if they've had over 200 incidents, boil water notices are a pain, not having phone service is an inconvenience and without 911 a potential lawsuit.
Good call, If we chose to go down this path with programming languages what we end up could look very much like legalese. I wonder if programming can make it's way in to language, maybe then those EULA's would be easier to understand.
This is one of the most insightful AC posts I've read.
WebMD didn't have anything that I could find, but a google found this eMedicine I am not anything near a Md so this makes no sence to me. But as they say the half of knowledge is knowing where to find knowledge.
I can't say I've heard of that before. This guy is apparently salary the salary was right, I'm a developer who's salary and it's never been a question of do you want to work extra to meet this deadline, it's a matter of you will work as long as it takes. Which in all honesty is fine with me, I don't think you can stumble in to the development business with out knowing your going to be working insane hours more often than not. I knew this back in high school. If I wanted a normal 9 to 5 paid hourly job I would defiantly looked some where else. Notice the dev isn't writting the article, the spouce is.
Then again the Dev could be having an affair and just lying about working late...
States Parties to the Treaty undertake not to place in orbit around the Earth any objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of weapons of mass destruction, install such weapons on celestial bodies, or station such weapons in outer space in any other manner.
I guess destroying some other nations satellite would not count as weapons of mass destruction. I think it's a crappy idea. I mean, sure we could use our nuclear arsenal to obliterate any nation that looks at us funny but we don't I don't think we need to start knocking other countries stuff out of the sky either.
Thanks for correcting me. I looked at ebay for current acutions I didn't think to search for winning ones. I honestly didn't think someone could be so stupid. That stupid on the levelk of having to remind someone to breath so they don't passout.
No one is paying 265 for Halo2, after reading your post and realizing that it made a lot of sence I decided to look to see if anyone bid on it, the problem is there is no auction for just Halo 2 all the one's in the 150+ range are bundles of Halo 2 and Xbox. I think the story submitter was just embellishing a bit.
I'd even go so far as to say most people aren't junkies. The reason we hear about the ones that are is that not getting addicted to something doesn't make a very good story. Don't supose you can provide any facts to base the on can you, it would be really inetresting to see.
Why does real time monitoring matter, I mean look at the last presidential election. I think all this polling and up to the second exit polls are only adding to the problem. In the grand scheme(sp?) does it affect you if you know today or three days from now who the president will be. Look at the days before internet before tv, before radio, before wire service when information took days to get across country. The world still worked. Life will go on. Besides I doubt there will be a conclusive answer for weeks.
no you didn't, you just forgot that /. is full of tinfoil hat hippies that get in a fluster anytime some company tries to combat piracy.
d'oh. thats what i get for not checking my work. thanks.
One word. Interns.

Hey now don't forget it runs to Daytona Beach, not everything in Fl ends at Dismal World;)
I grew up in Daytona Beach, and yes contractors are very slow. Very very slow.
Fl, where I am from has a water table that is really close to the ground, we got sink holes all the time.
But that is unrelated to TFA, they say that they hit water mains.

I love when people ask questions that make it blindingly obvious they didn't' RTFA.
If you want to know stop being lazy and RTFA.
And I always wondered how my teacher could tell I didn't read the assignment...

And what they were doing while they were looking at it.
Mom was right, it really does make you go blind
he wsn't talking about destroying a thing meant controlling a thing, his point was to The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
We took the approach did that with Iraq who was the enemy of Iran and Afghanistan who was the enemy Russia.
My father always says "the squeaky wheel is the first to get replaced"

I get to pay for Social Security without the hope of getting any, I thought this applied to anyone under 30?
I could see this as news if it was breaking in to 4 different companies, but this ia in no way news for me.
well played. N1
You've got a point.
From the treaty;
Article IV
States Parties to the Treaty undertake not to place in orbit around the Earth any objects carrying nuclear weapons or any other kinds of weapons of mass destruction, install such weapons on celestial bodies, or station such weapons in outer space in any other manner.

D'oh!

As always I could be wrong
Maybe Novell/SUSE is the figurative 800lb gorilla we've been looking for to fight literal 800lb gorilla Steve Ballmer.
This is the second time I've heard of the Patent Wars on /. and each time I hear it I think about the machine wars or something from terminator.
I picture indestructable lawyers crushing the creativity bones of people all over the world. Lawyers who will stop at nothing to get what they want.
I'd even go so far as to say most people aren't junkies. The reason we hear about the ones that are is that not getting addicted to something doesn't make a very good story. Don't supose you can provide any facts to base the on can you, it would be really inetresting to see.
Not that I have any problem with smoking, but if cigarettes are the only stoping you from killing yourself I think you are in need of help.
