Sheesh, and you wonder why you got beat up so much in school. I knew plenty of ugly, short, and smart kids that did just fine in high school by being pleasant to be around instead of always trying to assert their intelligence over other people.
Remind me to give you a virtual wedgie when this game comes out.
Actually, I heard it was because the last terrorist bomb plot sent via Greyhound ended up somewhere in Alabama two weeks after the target time, and didn't detonate because a bum pissed on it.
The super insects have color vision and detect humans from 25-30 meters, which is about 50% farther than the ordinary mosquitoe.
Either we're dealing with a poor speller, or a half-English, half-American editor who can't make up his mind as to which spelling dictionary he should use...
Ok, fess up, how many of you have downloaded gigs of MP3s before with no intention of going out to see the band live or buy the merchandise? DRM exists primarily because many college students today enjoy a quasi-middle class lifestyle on campus and still rape and pillage the file sharing networks.
I'll confess. I've downloaded a lot of music, and discovered that the bands were shitty, and then didn't go to see them live, or waste 17$ on a CD that they made. Try before you buy, you know?
I quit going to filesharing networks for music a few years ago. Most of the stuff I listen to now are legal liveset recordings of DJ's and the occaisional netlabel EP. At least with electronic music, people have figured out that the internet isn't an evil source of piracy and villany; it's free publicity. The problem with the system now isn't chubby college students with too much time on their hands and not enough homework; it's musicians who fail to realize a few fundamental facts about the music industry. The first is that a musician needs to make their money from playing music... gigging is the only way you'll ever make any money in this world. The CD is just a tool to promote live performances and other merchandise, but only an extreme minority of musicians actually make a large profit from CD sales alone. The second thing is that the music industry is an industry... it's interested in taking the biggest profit cut it can get, and musicians need to be business-smart or else they're going to get ripped off by their labels and promoters.
The funny thing is, rock-n-roll used to be the music of rebellion and anti-establishment. Now, that scene in particular has come to expect a ludicrious amount of financial loyalty from its fans and in turn become the establishment they used to oppose. Oh well, I guess the republican party used to be against big government, too... them times are a-changin'.;)
Man, you slashdotters are all the same. First, it was all "read the article, read the article, blah blah blah, rtfm", and now it's "read the summary, rtfs". I bet next you'll be wanting people to read the entire headline before posting! Well, good sir, from now on, I fully intend on just glazing over the keywords of the summary, maybe one or two of the works in the links, and then posting the first thing that comes to my mind!
There is something more to this that Apple doesn't want us to know. I just can't quite pinpoint what is going on...
"Asteroid" is actually the codename for a much larger, more subversive project from Apple. Using fake headlines to lure in bloggers and subsequently suing them, they will allow them to settle out of court anonymously. But, what they don't say, is that "out of court" actually means "secret death camps", and that apple is planning to unleash a mass extermination of bloggers, purging their vile, smelly presence from the clean, brushed-metal ideal of apple's internet. These brave souls sacrificed their lives to bring us the first bits of information from this insidious plot, and we owe it to ourselves to find out what hidden truths lie beneath this seemingly innocent firewire interface.
This post is very insightful, and I would mod you up had I not already foolishly wasted my meta-mod points on amusing troll posts. We should fix the system rather than adding more noise to it.
With regards to missing standard keys, could you be more specific? Are you referring to "Prt Scr," "Sys Rq," etc? Which keys are missing that are considered "standard"?
Well, there's this funny looking key between "Alt" and "Ctrl" on my USB keyboard that doesn't seem to do anything under OSX....
What myth are they busting here, exactly? That everything from RadioShack sucks?

Who would put up 12,000 bucks for something that's not really needed? I mean, sure, hacking the hardware to get it to run is kinda cool and all...but 12 grand?!?! Is it THAT important to buy Mac hardware to put Windows on?
It's not about buying mac hardware specifically to run windows, it's about the ability to dual boot mac osx and windows on the same laptop. Honestly, I'm at the point in my life where I need fewer computers, not more of them. Having a whole closet full of junky old PC's isn't worth the time and energy anymore, so I just have 2 laptops now, a powerbook and an old gateway. I'd gladly sell them both if I could buy one laptop that could run both OS's.
For what I do (audio programming and music production), emulation is not an acceptable solution due to obvious performance and hardware issues. Plus, there is so much good software available for both platforms, why limit yourself to just one?
Wait a second, let me see if I get this straight. Censorship.... seat belts... censorship... seat belts.... hmmmm.
Are you saying that censorship is like a seat belt.. over your mouth? Like when it gets stretched out all the way and it won't let you move forward until you unbuckle it? And then, you can get arrested when trying to rebuckle?

2800 dead is less than the number of fatal accidents each month on americas highways, maybe we should start banning cars too?
Oh, how I would love to see that happen.
That's not why they don't target Greyhound.
Actually, I heard it was because the last terrorist bomb plot sent via Greyhound ended up somewhere in Alabama two weeks after the target time, and didn't detonate because a bum pissed on it.
Yeah, surrrrre, "my parents".
Looks like somebody accidentally installed the WGA update.
Except for the fact that the air and water are cleaner than they were 50 years ago, and keep getting cleaner.
I was going to respond this statement, but then I remembered what inevitably happens when you argue with morons on the internet....
If only these poor, confused youths knew that you can just get iPods for free, we wouldn't be in this situation!
This should be a clear consequence of any game involving mushrooms and magic pipes...
On one website, you can find underage booty to take home with you.... on the other, you can find low, low prices!
hrms, tough decision....

I'm guessing that a relatively strong hash is already behind this idea. Lebanese, perhaps?
By the way: FPTRTFA (First Post That Read The F... Article)
Wow, all two paragraphs of it? Perhaps we should give you an award of some sort...

Why else do you think people jog?
....but obviously not how it's applied in the real world.
But how would it be journalism if some amount of wild speculation wasn't involved?

Sorry, still doesn't count.
