this baby might be the first clone instead of the canadian one..
The world's first cloned baby was born on 26 December, claims the Bahamas-based cloning company Clonaid. But there has been no independent confirmation of the claim.
the number 1 reason... is that i cant find the cracks to the annoying flexlm (flexkm?) licenses to all the CAD software for linux versions.
windows to me is also free because i dont buy MS products. my OS is pirated, acrobat is pirated, office is pirated, trillian-pro is pirated, norton is pirated...etc, etc. it's been really stable for me. almost never crashes.
there's no kazaa-lite for linux yet, but now that i realise it's easier to download full album mp3s off irc, it doesnt really matter anymore i guess.
just got back from the job fair at school. as always MS was there. i tried to get the toy from microsoft. another girl from mcgill was there. i was just there to get the toy but felt bad for just going there to ask. so i had to pretend that i wanted to work for them. ended up dropping my resume. she asked me, "why microsoft". i couldnt think of an answer. i ended up saying something stupid like "because you guys have so much market share in OS, that you have all the power to...." then i knew i said the wrong stuff haha. i'm too honest. unfortunately they ran out of toys. and i lost one resume.
here's my hardware setup. ati rage 128. Dlink ethernet card soundblaster live dvd rom ricoh cdwriter pentium III 450mhz.
win2k autodetected all my devices including the ethernet card without me having to do anything more. how would i know if my ethernet card would be using the tulip.c driver? i completely switched over to linux and recently moved back to win2k. windows' stability was one thing that pissed me off the most and in win2k it has never crashed once within the last 5 months. no need to partition swap space during installation. no need to know all the details about my cpu. it does the installation all for me. i'm not saying it's better, but it's EASIER. as far as maintenance, debian is still the best;)
here's the offtopic part
i still use netscape 4.7. IE occationally because they are both responsive. mozilla is not. konqueror is not. kde is most pretty, but it's not responsive. people are saying that konqueror and kde are the best apps, but i'd say licq is the best ap for linux.
on windows, i'm STILL using netscape 4.7 with zonealarm (is there something like zonealarm for linux?) which disables most popup ads and banners. so i dont really need that feature on mozilla about disabling popup ads. one thing i really dont like about mozilla is that it's still not responsive (although they've made a huge improvement).loading time is not the worst, it's little things like typing in the location, or the open location bar (cntr+shift+l) doesnt show up right away when i press it. in netscape 4.7, the shortcut (cntr+o) shows up right away when i press it. could it have been because of the skinning that the app is so slow? IE is of course a pretty good browser if they folks dont have weekly security leaks discovered every week. I surf a lot of porn, so i hardly use that browser since those webmasters are pretty sneaky people including malicious code on their sites.
on linux it's pretty much the same thing. i prefer to use konqueror, although mozilla does display pages the way the right way and done better than konqueror and of course netscape 4.7. but i still use mozilla the least on there. 4.7 is still the fastest and I use it very often when konqueror doesnt display something correctly. still no reason to apt-get remove netscape yet....
i thought it was discovering religion at the end since he was holding onto skully's cross necklace... but i guess you're right because the 'truth' is supposed to make mulder scary....
but what on earth does the cigarette guy have anything to do with anything...?
and that super human guy... didnt he used to work in the x-files too? ( i missed a couple of episodes:)
one thing you'll notice for the people in the pacific time zone... after mulder gets into the ford at night with his jail outfit, the next day he's wearing something else....
but what IS the truth? they werent really clear about it... mulder didnt really talk about it. the smoky guy didnt talk about it....

for some reason my zonealarm adblocking function does not work with phoenix. maybe zonealarm uses a name matching in the exe...?
i want to see some passionate romantic sex scenes involving geeks dammit! :D
i can be less worried that my wife would cheat on me because i can still pleasure with my robotic arm miles away on my business trips

isnt this just nice...
two companies merging;
overlapping jobs;
company "restructuring" (ie, layoffs);
less jobs out there;
for me, recently graduated with an computer engineering degree, this isnt good at all....
there are debian packages available finally, but this is only for version 641d
