The only reason they haven't caught on, is because the hardware interface to the computer is inherently 2D. A mouse moves only in 2D-- sure, you can fudge it, but there needs to be a proper 3D interface in order for the 3D UIs to work right.
Well, that's my opinion of it anyway. I could be proven wrong (wouldn't mind being proven wrong either)
Previous versions of Xandros (2.0 specifically) are extremely stable and solid for me. The forums were always helpful to a complete n00b, and I'm proud to say I've been Windows-free since I've installed Xandros 2.0.
Flash, as a website based format, is EVIL! I can't even count the number of times I've dismissed a site because it was flash based. Some are just really poorly done, and it shows, while some are just too computer intensive, and some just look silly.
...what I think will happen is that the US will force Canada to sign the WIPO...
Excuse me? You think the US has that much clout that they can make us comply with their draconian laws? Already there is a fair amount of anti-US sentiment due primarily to Bushy junior. I doubt the US could make Canada do anything other than sell you stuff at cheaper prices.
What a sad day when something legally dubios is not immoral or unethical. What sort of law system have you made for yourselves? (I say you, because I am Canadian, and in so far as I can see, we have a few more rights)
Not the anime. The anime was utter crap. If you think that's the story for Gunnm (aka Battle Angel Alita) you're sorely mistaken. Get the Graphic Novels from Viz, you won't be dissapointed. And once you have those, get Gunnm: Last Order and enjoy the way it was meant to end (Written and drawn by Yukito Kishiro)
At least, I _hope_ they use the manga as a basis. Although, it's going to be fairly hard to make a movie on something like 7 graphic novels and a rich storyline.

I seriously hope you're being sarcastic. I don't see how anything free can be labeled "supporting terrorism".. It may be circumventing copyright, or allowing poor people to use computers, but how does that lead to supporting terrorism?
In my mind the whole terrorism schtick, be it the US "seeking" out terrorists or the terrorists attacking, is all in an effort to reduce our freedoms.
When the hell is a 2.7 GHz & 512 MB system a "lower end machine??" I must have a mucky system in the lower depths of hell then, as I only have a 1.2GHz system!
When are you going to update your website? I still get errors sometimes when I load it up saying junk about *.php3 documents (!).. Are you still using PHP3?? For that matter, who designs your website, and when will they update the look?
