I wonâ(TM)t start actually celebrating until they start closing locations or their leadership start getting thrown in jail.

Closing locations would just inconvenience certain customers and suck for lower paid unimportant/uncared about employees. The only one you should truly get excited over should be the higher ups.

Samsung's curved screens, however, seem to do.........nothing?

I'll see these thing say "(service) sells data for targeted ads," and people get super pissed. Aside from the invasion of privacy... Is anyone pissed about it being targeted ads? Or is it just literally the privacy issue?

Laziness and being unwilling to separate is one thing. The other part feels like some people are just too stupid here to do it as well.

I work at a big call center and we have a cafeteria downstairs. They used to have labels on the various disposal bins: Trash, Recycling, composte.

All the bins were filled with the exact same stuff. No effort was made to sort by anyone (except uselessly I usually did).

Now they literally put big pictures next to all of the bins of what should go into them. They still look exactly the same on the inside though. I see people walk up, looking at the giant pictures the whole way, then just toss everything in whatever bin is closest to them.

Thirdly, beer bottles are collected, washed, and refilled. Breweries big and small can all sign up for the program, and get clean Industry Standard Bottles delivered to them. They paste on their labels, fill, and cap with custom twist-off caps, and sell to the consumer. On average, a bottle will make it through the system 10 times before it breaks or is lost.

This part reminds me of something I've always wondered in bars. It always sounds like the bartenders are throwing bottles into their bins hard enough to break them. I wonder how many would end up re-usable after that / how fast they'd break.

It always seems like they are throwing them intentionally too hard.

I did take Tae Kwon Do for years, and we had to meditate now and then. I mostly just recall it being helpful for sort of developing a better mind/muscle connection. More or less similar to just having good form and being aware of it when exercising though, nothing magical.

  25. I've seen several things criticizing Uber for not having PTO, benefits, etc. I've always wondered exactly how people want that treated. Do they mean that for every single person at Uber? Or does it require 30+ hours a week every week of the year? Because I know several Uber drivers just do it 1-2 days a week, sometimes they take a break, etc. How would PTO work out for someone who just does 3-6 hours a week? Benefits, etc? Would it be a situation where Uber would have to make them employees once they hit a certain requirement? And then after that, would they be required to make those hours every week unless they had PTO approved?

    .

Most anyone I've known that does Uber only did it for a little extra income. I was surprised to find there were people that used it as a main source of income.
