Not really. Mostly it uses a javascript object to make calls to the server without refreshing the page. Imagine validating entered part numbers in a table on the exiting event of the field. You can them make the field backgrounds turn red on the invalid part numbers (without the full round trip for the whold document).
There's lots and lots of hype, but underneath there's some really powerful tools.

However, the majority of software we used was able to scale well thanks to the third core (which was the case with Cinebench 2003, PovRay 3.7, Cinema 4D R9 and 3DS Max 7).
I've never really understood the AIW's popularity. While maybe it's nice to have it all on one card, when it comes time to upgrade, which comes along depressingly fast for video, you've got to trash a perfectly working tuner. Why not get the video card and a seperate tuner?
More cost up front? Maybe, but my ATI TV Wonder is still working *years* after its purchase.

According to this article, XSS is a bit of a misnomer: The term cross site scripting is not a very accurate description of this class of vulnerability. In the words of XSS pioneer Marc Slemko:

Yahoo's Music service? $6.99 a month or $60 a year for unlimited d'loads of the music they've got (which isn't everything but it's most of what I've looked for). True, you're more renting the music than owning it, but I've found more new music in the last two weeks that I've used it than I have in the last two years.

And this is exactly how it should be. Let's all get up in arms over things we don't care about? If you watch pay per view and this gets in the way of how you use your TiVo then cancel your subscription, what better way to make your point? (Well, not you as I imagine you're not a TiVo user.)
As soon as this hits a show I want to watch and keep I'll be canceling my subscription. I debated paying the lifetime fee for my TiVo, but then I give up the only real way I've got to tell TiVo to shove it if I need to.

If my parents were local I would certainly help, but having spent *hours* on the phone with my tech-challenged dad I encouraged him to get a built PC with a service plan when it was time to upgrade. I love my dad to death, but those tech calls were torture.

They scan the mail, get the PIN, then *return* it to the mail box and no one is the wiser. They've got your pin and the CC company never calls to ask why you've not activated the card.

Wouldn't a VM be better for this? That way you could have all the svelt of OS X without rebooting to use Windows just for those few apps.
