I happen to think there are some movies which can be enjoyed without knowing a single word of dialog. Ghost in the shell is not one of these. The questions it poses about life and what it means to be human are something that you really need to hear and understand to enjoy.

Well the diet itself has been around for about 30 years, and I haven't heard of any negative long term effects (I don't know much about diets though--google is your friend;)
I always hear this being said, but how do you actually know that the Japanese voices were well acted?
Well I can understand the language pretty well...I did just take the SAT II in Japanese today(US/Canada only test I believe) so I hope I can tell bad acting from good acting
Actually I believe you are refferring to the English dubs of Japanese games. That is to say, the original Japanese version of these games have fine voice while they just can't seem to find good English voice actors. I think they should just subtitle when they bring games over to America, not that it really affects me anyway...
I think what is happening because of the internet is that people are able to find their own niche interests that are not mainstream. Because these interests are so specific it is nearly impossible to mass market things on TV or on other traditional mediums.
Yes, less is more, buy only the games you have the time for, problem solved. Or just play those short flash/java games on the internet which are supposedly garnering a shitload of market share due to their popularity. There is definately no lack of variety in the number of games you can play.
What's seems even more incredible to me is that you can actually disable the iTunes store entirely in the options, I doubt you could do the same with WMP....
Actually you can disable those services if you really want, also there is another serviced for CD burning galled "Gearsec.exe" you neglected to mention. This too can all be disabled if need be, at the expense of CD/DVD burning in iTunes. Admittedly I have no clue why apple couldnt just have these disabled by default and only enabled as needed. But if you are intelligent enough to know it is eating up memory you should be intelligent enough to disable it.
in Chinese (and Serenity's system alarms are bilingual, English and Cantonese).
Don't you mean mandarin? Cantonese is the dialect spoken in Honk Kong and Guangdong(formerly canton province, thus the name of the dialect) by 110~million or so people. Mandarin is the one spoken by 1billion~ people. Of course it is a show so they could put it in whatever language they want
Perform a search for candle truck -site:.com and you get 44,200 results....while putting -site:gormetcollection.com (the only hit I get for just candle truck) yields 0 results
I bet it will be defaulted to on, and eventually a lot of things will start to require it. And finally, there will be no way to turn it off. That is microsofts strategy usually anyway.
This discussion from microsoft
shows where they are planning to go with this. It is going to be part of the Windows 2003 server line. Or you can use microsoft's own service (which uses passport) if you don't want to run your own server. And all of this does tie in to office 2003 as it looks like the first product to take full advantage of it. Talk about vendor lock in....
The difference between windows and a video game console is that the producer of the console actually controls what games come out for it. Microsoft has no control over what is released to run on their OS. This is why there are no 18+(pornographic) games for any recent game systems.
I'll admit that, in reality, I sometimes feel small urges to take "shortcuts" over curbs and over...
Hey, I get the same urges when I play any kind of game. I seem to get addicted to a game for a short period and then switch to something else. For example: I would play mario sunshine and look at a building and say "hey I can just hover and reach that chimney!" or I would play the Chinese/Japanese board game GO and every black or white circle pattern I see some moves to make. For me at least, GTA3 was no different from any other game.
It looks like the original page was taken down, however you can still see it in google's cache

All of todays encryption becomes irrelevant

There is also software that lets you throttle your bandwith on a program by program basis like netlimiter for windows

I wonder what it comes out to? (you know that tax that goes to the recording industry for all storage devices or some other such crap)
Whoever modded this up as Insightful is an idiot as there are many games for gamecube that are not geared towards kids.

I don't think you can sign a contract in pencil though ;p
I agree, Definately the micro size uniball (0.2mm)

Can't you legally buy the cartridge and then (legally) download a rom of that game?

Actually I do use IE when I want to kill time, I use mozilla to get work done
Umm its the same in Japan too...and its up to the companies not the government

Now I can finally tell whether or not my memory is bad!
