I was thinking the same, however, this would probably rather impractical for uploading videos. Also I've noticed the method for linking to files is somewhat confusing. I'm not sure if thats necessarily the best option.
MediaWiki would be a good one, however it uses databases. Dokuwiki can be used to upload files of all sorts. It isnt very helpful in terms of creating a gallery of pictures however.
I actually think the design is quite nice. I dont quite make the connection to vista other than the pretty rounded corners which Slashdot sported in its previous incarnation.
The text is a bit hard to read. I think it might be a tad too small. I'm also used to the Subject lines of the comments being quite a bit bigger.
I could see how this would be good for some of those 15 passenger vans. Its difficult enough to see whats behind you when you are backing up, much less parallel parking.
I've got this phone and I, too, would like to unlock some features. Namely the use of USB for anything besides mp3-player songs, images, and vcards.
In order to place ringtones on the phone you must upload it to the internet and then redownload it to the phone. The phone comes with a USB cable and supports the mass storage device protocol, but is crippled. ARGH!
If one is trying to make one that can be read through brail, I would say, that it couldn't be done. Captcha designed for it probably would be nothing like captcha at all.
However, not being deaf/blind myself my view is limited. The real people to ask are the deaf and blind since they would probably have far more creative solution for checking user validity using the input/output devices that they are accustomed to using.
What is actually so unethical about adding 2 entries to your buddy list on a service they provide? I had no problem with it other than being mildly confused 2 seconds before I painfully deleted 2 WHOLE buddies from my list.
Seems like such a mild issue to get so steamed up about.
One of the main purposes of any policy is to modify human behavior. If they wish to discourage behavior around analog, to promote the adoption of another technology, they feel that they can.
Should they be trying to modify this behavior? Personally, i think not
I'm liking what I'm seeing. This would require the person writing a blog to know how to: A: use some sort of online payments system, and B: not just make up blogs on a whim (some people are so cheap)
Because, A) Many of us view pirating a movie as wrong and B) we cannot be bothered to manage the pirating software. I've got better things to do with my time.
Ok, I dont see anywhere on their site describing what exactly Joomla! or Mambo is. Its a content management system. So what does it do? A lotta companies use it. Hmm ok...
I gander that it manages content in a systematic way... *so confused*
Upon reading the headline my initial thought was it was refering to those printers that require you to:
Install driver, turn off computer, plug in printer, turn on computer, turn on printer, update firmware, push "online" button to work. In that order.

I really think the complaints about dupes aren't necessary. Dupes are nice for those of us who just check the site now and then. We are still entertained & and the sky hasnt come crashing down yet.

;-)
But if a wiki were used, here's some info:

Here is a comparison of wikis: Wiki Comparison Table
A photogallery would be a nice wiki plugin to have

This problem always crop up with limited user accounts. If they use quicken, they need to be admin.
I'm working with the defaults, which I assume is HSQLDB.
I've had Base crash on my 6 times in the past 2 days. I'd call that a deficiency.
This might be a good resource. Speak with others via Skype. The internet limitations themselves might be hurdles, but its worth a shot.

Is it just me or is the pink beveled look growing on anyone? The text is difficult to read, but the logo is looking really nice actually.
Please...
Just because its his site doesn't make it any less news.

The Pimsleur series of audio clips will help you with your conversational speech. Check it out on iTunes or your local book store.

Buggy inbox? I've never encountered a problem with it. Care to explain?
All Apple need now is a Video equivalent to AirTunes. If they can pull that off, it would be quite impressive.
Now I sit and ponder... is such a beast technically possible for decent quality viewing?

Did you even look? They are for sale at amazon.com
I keep seeing all these comments, but I hardly noticed until I tried to leave a comment myself. Wow.

That list is sadly incomplete without Peanutbutter Jelly Time
