Last week and it's awesome. no buffer underrun errors or other problems and it's superfast. My last one was a budget burner and died after a little over a year. I went with the scsi version. Highly recommended!
this sounds similar to the DeCSS case with 2600, but as stupid as it sounds they were still allowed to have the url posted afterwards. I wonder if these guys be able to get away with that?
sounds like a nice place to work:
"UDS is an interactive entertainment developer based in Norrköping and Gothenburg, Sweden. The company was founded in 1993, with an idea of using highly skilled and motivated programmers and artists to make top-notch computer games for Windows and the console market. Today we are 75 full-time employees, all of which are among the best in their respective fields. Almost everyone at UDS has a background on the Scandinavian demo scene. Trust is a keyword here at UDS. We fully trust our employees in terms of both loyalty and competence, and we do everything in our power to make our employees trust us. Furthermore, we have always given our employees lots of individual freedom, combined with a great deal of responsibility. We believe this is the best way to ensure creativity and commitment."
I still don't agree. People are lazy. How many times have movies been rented for 5 days, not watched and returned late for double the orginal rental fee? This helps solve all those inconveinences at once provided you have decent bandwidth. How many times do you watch the movie over the 5 days? If it's a new release you only have 2. This is also much more of on-demand system, with rentals you're always guessing if you'll have time to watch it- with the internet, you get it when you want it, no questions asked. People are lazy- this will eventually be the way to go.
Thanks for the negtive input, but I think it's great that they're trying. Nothing wrong with that, the way it's been looking the only way you'll be able to see a movie is with armed guard hanging over you to make sure you have no 'fair use' rights. I have no problem paying for a movie if it's convienent to me and doesn't cost me an arm and a leg for the equipment to watch it on- which is where things are going. They'll never be able to fully protect anything over the web and they know that. Wasn't harry potter the first major movie to dump macrovision?
I used to work as a fi$herman on large trawlers in Ala$ka and I'll tell you first hand that anything that wasn't the fi$h we wanted was immediately thrown overboard, with rare exception- fi$h is where the money is. It's hard for me to believe that a deckhand would actually pay attention to something that must have resembled a rock or piece of ice, but then again I bet boats have been pulling this stuff up for a very long time and it went ignored just for that reason.
ok, so I'm aging myself- but many years ago on "Real People" they had a guy that could recognize an album or song just by looking at the grooves, his specialty was classical, but he knew everything and could easily identify the song just by looking at the grooves. This is basically doing a similar type of thing.
Corbin Motors offers several alternatives to the standard vehicle. There aim is single occupancy, for people that primarily travel alone on their commute (most people do), very efficient and cool looking- and you can get them now! cool furniture too!

I would have suggested posting anonymously on this one- the RIAA is watching!
your character be allowed to read Fast Food Nation?
"Then they will compare these with their own full motion, full audio, 3D, holographic images, and behold a future that we cannot now even imagine."
Better porn!

from bad 80's jokes: isn't the Delorean the one that always follows the white lines better than others?

What's wrong with a little crack once in awhile? Truckers do it!
Could you arm a refrigerator with this?
I'd love to find a way to keep my roomate from drinking my beer.
I just heard it, it will probably be available in the archives later today.
What about the Segway? Wasn't that supposed to be earth shattering? I guess a $10,000 scooter didn't quite have the impact they expected.
Is this a problem? I've never thought I'd read that free speach and access to it is a "problem". We live in a pretty fucked up time!
