Man, they should totally have had a matrix inside a matrix. they are dumbasses for not doing so. it would have been cool. to have an endless regression of matrices, like a nightmare or something, really fuck with peoples heads like a proper sci-fi flick should. not that i've seen the current movie.

there are some excellent mods available at gta3mods.com, and some pretty good software for making your own mods, such as a 3d mapper which allows you to reposition roads, buildings, or add your own... there's a stunt course available, additional islands, extra cars obviously, and even new missions... i'm working on my rooftop roller-coaster mod right now.

  13. Is this really maths? on Amateur Quest For Lychrel Numbers · · Score: 1

I don't think this is a mathematical problem... reversing the digits in a number isn't a mathematical procedure, is it? I don't think there is a mathematical relationship between one particular number and another which has the same digits in reverse. Why should there be? That's like thinking that spelling a word backwards will give you a word with the opposite meaning. I think this situation is just a coincidence, and the only meaning is related to the appearance of the numerals themselves rather than any property of palindromic numbers.

i didn't enjoy MFIB or the futurological congress, they seemed to go on interminably and i found them frustrating, but i have loved some of lem's other books. HIS MASTER'S VOICE is a good one, scientists pick up coded signals from space and start decoding them, uncovering fantastic new scientific principles, but, to the reader's chagrin, and typically of lem, we never find out throughout the whole book where the signals are coming from or who is sending them. another entertaining one is PEACE ON EARTH, about a guy with a split personality on the moon (Lem makes a connection between the Lunar Excursion Module and his name).
