First, it is not "the muslim world" it is several Muslim Countries
Fixed that for you
Second, christians are not currently the subject of what must seem to them (and many objective observers) as a crusade
So to clarify "Death to the infidels" is not a cry to religious genocide, but a cheer for the Jihad basketball team. Thank you for clearing that up for me.
One's head has remain be still while answering questions, as slight movements can throw off the readings. This includes moving lips. Makes things a bit more difficult, right? Maybe a button to push for yes, and another for no. this would have problems as well as one could just push buttons at random to invalidate the test, or repeatedly hit "no" for the whole thing. And do you think I would stay still while in the little tube? I will answer that for you:
Thank you so much, I have been scratching my head and read all the way down a topic I am not rally interested in to see what GBLT means.
My brain was like Gay Bacon Lettuce and Tomato? I agree, sandwiches, regardless of sexual orientation should not exclude non-sandwichy players. That's just wrong in this day and age.
Now that I understand what the T is for, I can add my 2 cents. I will preface this with a statement about me. As a Christian, I am supposed to love everyone, regardless of race, sexual orientation, actions, or even religious beliefs. With these beliefs in mind, I cannot see any reason a GBLT "friendly" guild should form, as long as they do not exclude non GBLT types. Furthermore, I think an openly Christian "friendly" guild is equally acceptable, as long as they do not discriminate on membership. But ultimately the only restriction Blizzard has made was that the guilds cannot openly profess their belief, orientation, etc... That is Blizzard's choice, and the players' choice to continue to subscribe. That is the beauty of the free market.
As an early swg player I have something to say in regards to the parent
I don't remember all the details, but the problem was reportedly identified during the beta test of that release, but that didn't stop it from being deployed. And it took it a long time to be fixed.
actually the From the Shadows crew built one for Defcon that could read RFID from something like 30-40 feet (not sure on exact range). If you are interested, check out episode 6 (box 6).
my wife bought a duct tape wallet made by Ducti it doesnt ooze adhesive or glue anything together and has survived two trips through the washer and dryer. I think if I could find the same type tape Ducti uses. I would definately make one of these. I may do it even if I can't. After all, why should my head be the only one with tinfoil Mister Lincoln and General Washington deserve the same headware.
I would be interested to know if this was a write in interview format or a more spontaneous Q&A over the phone or something. Thompson was on local talk radio beating the drum against video games a few months ago. This was whe case that Judge Roy Moore revoked his right to practice in Alabama for that particular case.
He spoke fairly well when he had a caller who denounced video games. When an opposing viewpoint or heathen gamer called in, Thompson launched into a screaming hissy-fit interrupting the caller and verbally attacking the caller stopping just shy of calling him a doody-head.
The caller would not need to instigate Thompson beyond mentioning he gamed. Anything said past that was washed out by "Screamin'" Jack Thompson. If you ask me, the guy is wound a bit too tight and needs a new hobby.
I think everyone has a chance to redeem themselves. Just because some guy decides to abuse the system doesn't mean he cannot learn from his mistakes. Learning from mistakes is what seperates us from the scriptkiddies
on my G5 I find it better to go to 2000 when I am running around looking for enemies around corners/behind me/whatever. I drop to 1100 dpi for general fragging purposes then I swap to 400-800 for finer control when accuracy counts. I play Natural Selection, which is imo one of the finest mods for Half-Life. I play primarily on the nukedgames server. My handle is Pookie, say hi if you see me.
My wife bought me a Logitech G5 mouse for Christmas. It boasts 2000 DPI sensitivity and it can change sensitivity on the fly using 2 buttons below the wheel. you can even specify sensitivity using the included software to up to 5 settings (expanding on 400/800/2000 which works even before installing drivers/software) so everyone is happy. It also includes Teflon pads to reduce friction and a weight cartridge to further customize your controls. The only drawback I can find is the price, but a little shopping around can save a few bucks even after the shipping. No, I dont work for Logitech.
I vaguely recall seeing someone submerge his board in a box with mineral spirits (if I recall correctly). It was on one of the overclocking sites three or four years ago, sorry I cannot remember which. Personally, I cannot stand the smell of mineral spirits for more than two or three minutes so that would stop me right there.
Captain N was the greatest advertisement ever. It made even the crappy games look cool, fun and life fulfilling. Plus, who wouldn't want a controller for a belt buckle and a zapper as a sidearm? And yes, I do know I can get the buckle, but my classical shape (i.e. round) limits the comfort such buckles would impart.
I bought the boxed set of Ogre used at a game store and made my friends play. My friends until then thought gaming was what you do on a computer, not having the pen and paper experiences I had. I later moved on to FRAG which further sunk the hooks in. Steve Jackson is a brilliant game designer and I hope he brings his skills well to the MMO world.
In Sec 2909.04, (B) No person shall knowingly use any computer, computer system, computer network, telecommunications device, or other electronic device or system or the internet so as to disrupt, interrupt, or impair the functions of any police, fire, educational, commercial, or governmental operations.
But he didn't do that, he made a website and asked other people to do it, THEY should be the ones up for a felony rap.
This is just a freaking kid trying to have a bit of fun. The lawyers, cops, school admins, and a large portion of/. posters are blowing this out of proportion. It's just a kid, not a terrorist cell, communist plot, or any other crap like that. America has become a bunch of legal system enabled bullies. I don't like that guy, I will sue him. This kid decided to have a bit of fun, let's put him on medication and charge him with a class 4 felony, revoke his right to vote or bear arms. IMO Americans try to hard to "grow up". I am 26, act like I'm 17 and enjoy my life. When time is needed to be serious, I am serious. When I am not needed to be serious, I have fun with my life. When I die, I will have no regrets, and I hope I can pass that on to my kids.
I never said they invented it, I was just commenting that implementing it on XP was useful. Of course I may be in the wrong place since I was looking for a nice thing M$ has done with a product. I hope my/. username doesn't get banned for the outrageous action of mentioning something M$ has done right.
Maybe I should only post on how in Soviet Russia, drivers update you or something.
I actually like the way XP handles driver installation, pulling the new drivers from the internet and not forcing you to dig through piles of CDs or dead links on driver sites. Of course, sometimes it doesnt work right, but for the most part it does. Makes troubleshooting other people's pc's much easier. Thank you Micro$oft.
The more people on "Their" lists, the less Big Brother can focus on one person. This negates the usefulness of the list. Get everyone's mom to encrypt email, add more noise to the signal.
I can't wait to show my kids this when I get home from work this evening. We watch the Norad tracking every year and have a fun time grouped areound the monitor, in true geeky fashion. Merry Christmas all and merry holiday(s) you may practice as well.

ROFL, I love Red Dwarf
Where are those quotes from? They sound like they may make an interesting read
First of all, EVERYTHING is based on EVERYTHING ELSE
Two words, Katamari Damacy. Actually, thats's based on some odd drug trip

So business as usual with SOE?

Hitler did it with the Jews
I'm calling Godwin's Law on this one. WOOT that means GP is right and Zed Sapiens deserve to die!

She's flat broke, what use is she to them now?
She is a precident. She is also an example to deter others. That is the only reason RIAA hasn't dropped this.
