DRM free versions will be available for Mac, PC and Linux. The game will also be made available through Steam, and the IOS App Store, etc.... which definitely have DRM. Title here (and other places) make it sound like it will be DRM free only.
Apple also has two very distinct lines of laptops. The MacBooks, and the MacBook Pros. Each line has it's own focus market... much like Dell and their Lattitudes and Inspirons.
D.O.A contains explicit portrayals of violence; sex; violent sex; sexual violence; clowns and violent scenes of violent excess, which are definitely not suitable for all audiences.
Sure the concept of desk accessories seems obvious now, but how do you figure that credit can't be given? The idea had to start SOMEWHERE. Near as I can tell, the idea came from Bud Tribble at Apple in 1981. Somehow, I don't think the concept was nearly as obvious 25 years ago as it is now.
Funny, I was using Emusic on a Macintosh years ago. They have always been subscription music service. Oh yeah, except you actually get to keep the songs after you cancel.
Rhapsody is the first music RENTAL service available for the Macintosh.
Wasn't the original showing of Halo shown as a Myth style RTS? I don't see how that could have been "obvious" that it would one day be made into a movie. Hell, there's no way anyone could have predicted the Halo phenomenon at that point. It was just a little Mac game. I guess it was a big Mac game, with the legacy that Bungie had going for them, but it was still a Mac game.
OOo 2 is included by default in the next release of Ubuntu. I am writing this from the preview release of Breezy. However, OOo 2 should be in the universe repository for Hoary. Try enabling the universe repository, and apt-get install openoffice.org2.
You know that "Last Kiss" is not a Pearl Jam song, right? It was written by Wayne Cochran, and made popular by J. Frank Wilson and the Cavaliers in 1964.
You sir, are an obvious liar. I would have been willing to accept that your Mom and Dad use Linux... But the girlfriend bit was a bit too much to swallow. Everyone knows that Linux users are incapable of getting girlfriends!
http://www.google.com/talk/ is now live. There's a Windows client available for download, and official instructions for Mac and Linux users on how to connect using 3rd party clients.

These kids are not "nerds" by any normal definition. They certainly were not inticed to attend Carl Hayden by its computer program. These kids are "undocumented" immigrants from Mexico. At least one of them was a former gang member.
These kids, with an $800 dollar robot and some creativity, beat out MIT's $11,000 dollar entry. The submission summary doesn't do any justice to the actual accomplishment here.
Actually, I've never found a Laptop solution for Right-clicking that doesn't drive my hands absolutely crazy. Having to bend my thumb under my fingers to reach the right mouse button is just plain uncomfortable. I personally think that the Mac solution of 1 mouse button with Ctrl as the contextual button makes far more sense on laptops than having 2 mouse buttons.
So, I dislike Courtney as much as anyone, but this is just BS. She's telling a similar tale, but she didn't "steal" anything from Steve Albini. Albini's take on this is a classic that should be read by all thinking persons who want to develop an informed opinion on this subject. His tale is much more gloom and doom, however... The band ends up in the hole. At least in Courtney's story, the band gets $45,000 to live off of, and ends up with a $0 balance.
I could tell you a personal story about ending up in debt to a record label... Does that mean I stole it from Steve Albini?
Yes, I realize this is Slashdot, but it only takes a moment to think before you post.

You see, it's merely a coincidence that people happen to be able to share illegal content on top of P2P Software. And if someone were to actually do such a thing, well then it would be their mean nastry content that was illegal! It's not our fault! We just made a sweet innocent piece of P2P software and all sorts of wonderful features, there's no mean nasty illegal content inside P2P Software itself! We are all sugar and spice and everything nice!

Right? He's done a bunch of stuff like this.
Um.... That's not backwards. I think you meant "Start on the right and move to the left."
Just an FYI.

I would mod your comment funny, but I couldn't see it...

Sitting on the pot as I type...
Yes, there is voice chat!
What's really, really, REALLY sad is that you just described one of my Linux boxes to a T.

Except that he wasn't configuring them remotely. He just switched over to their network because it was open. 192.168.0.1, and you're in.
They could just pick a name like suprnova.com, or suprnova.net!
