I love how everyone keeps using rm -rf / example. SERIOUSLY who is going to ACCIDENTLY type that.
Maybe if you were in dos you MIGHT accidently type format c: but you would still get a warning message. Unless maybe you type format c: |y and once again who would accidently type that?
If you give someone your root level l/p password to your machine from a remote source then you are just asking for trouble.
The special effects were very good. Not as good as Lucasfilm, but considering it was a fanfilm I thought the ship and landscape scene were very impressive.
The story was passable. Made some sense. However I thought the actors, at least the female ones, needed to be casted differently. They just really seemed out of place for the roles. I mean, maybe i'm biased a bit, but star wars females generally aren't super unattractive.
All in all, I was very impressed with the quality of this film. And I hope they make more.
So I was actually kind of excited about the prospect of playing with a keyboard and mouse on the xbox. I generally hate playing FPSs on a console because of it. But according to the review, the adapter isn't that good.:(
My girl has a university class that has over 400 students. To sign in to class everyone had to buy a 18 dollar little remote sign in thingy. Like a remote control. Yes after a little while some students would have their friends "beam" them in for attendance. In one class a bunch of students got caught cause one guy had like 10 remotes for all of his friends that ditched. Although I don't know how he got caught cause you can basically beam in from the back of the auditorium. Haha
You could argue that Mr. Incredible being invulnerable and strong is like the Thing.
And the baby flamed on like the torch. Although he is more like the Metemorphic man i suppose.
Going off the reviews on gamespot and some others I finally decided to give the game a try. I think Star Wars Galaxies (the rpg) is ok. I just started so my character is pretty weak but I think the game is setup well. The map is kind of strange, (took me a while to find the spaceport and pilot recruiter, mostly because on the map it said he was in a place he was not. Weird)
The space flight part is just ok. I am a vetran of X-wing, Tie Fighter, XvTF and so I guess I'm too used to the nice controls. I don't particular like the mouse control at all. It would've been nice to have the same controls from the old games. In fact I was kind of hoping that it would be XvTF except you are in a MMorpg with lots of other real pilots. But I guess i'll take this month to see if I get over it.
I was just thinking about how great it would be if we could see marvel characters with the pixar treatment. They could keep their original costumes (cause they wouldn't be so ridiculous in a cartoon/cg movie) and super powers would be like they are in the comic books. Not to mention that the powers that the Incredibles had were biting off the Fantastic Four majorly.
What point is that? That a supposed real news show like crossfire should be held to a real journalistic standard? Like Stewart said, how can you compare Crossfire with the DS? The daily show is a comedy show, and if he doesn't feel like making fun of Kerry then so what. There was still plenty to laugh about.
I think most recent college grads will agree that the cost of books for students in any B.S. level degree have moved into the rape-me cost bracket.
Would this be such a bad idea? Make me pay for a hard copy version, but if I want to get the basic information, I can always go to the library, copy pages from a page, or check out the online version.
Maybe we can keep it honest by setting up the online version so you definetly can't print it out, or some kind of DRM. But in the end, I think the availabilty of such valuable information online would really help our education system.
That thought techtv in general was boring and behind the times? I honestly feel like if you gave a shiznit any computer topic you would've have known about it ages before techtv covered it.

Just use evite.com or something? Does that cost money to? What happened to using IRC to organize people online. haha
I have to agree with you. I haven't even seen much music I want to DOWNLOAD much less buy in recent years.
And the pr0n was flowing so good too. I wonder who narc'd everyone out?
More like, they either get them for free or they have money to spend on an EXPENSIVE laptop.
Seriously. I have no idea who he is, and frankly I don't care. Aqua Teen Hunger Force is shite. Sealab is ok though.
Thats an interesting theory, but most of the time they don't even read the reciept. They just mark it.

I don't know about you, but I see that all the fox reality shows are available on BT.
Girl as in girlfriend.

I think most of us are super unoriginal and like to make our characters like our favorites.

Sure, ad revenue pays for the show.
I don't think the host of a comedy show is going to care what you think of his credibilty. haha

What difference does it make. Even the commercials are still in the video file.
Haha... if you are complaining about too much bible/philosophy quotes and techno mumbo jumbo you obviously never checked out the first movie.
Just make sure you have an ample supply of pr0n available offline.
Doomo Arigatoo! I didn't know slashdot had a Nihongo version. Too bad I can only read at a 3 year old japanese kids' level.
