Console games would be fine if the controlls didn't suck! Give me a mouse-and-keyboard controll for FPS cames rather than some thumbpad crap.
Plus, in their current forms, you really can't massively network like PCs can. Yes, that can change with more memory and more hard drive and better networking, but I still think we're at least 2 generations from seeing that.
Han Solo used a light saber to slice open his dead Tauntaun on Epire Strikes Back, so unless he is secretly able to wield the force, you don't have to be a Jedi to use light saber.
I find it more interesting the idea of a new PoE standard that will provide more power. Of course, those of us that have invested millions in the current PoE "standard" for VoIP and wireless will need to forklift everything.
Since the messages may be valuable (although probably are not), shouldn't it be a simple matter to claim they are part of the estate and get a TRO and be done with it?
After all, the copyright is held by the decedant, so wouldn't that material value pass to his heirs?
Doesn't the federal "CAN SPAM" act prevent state laws from taking effect? I thought that was one of the main provisions that kept the new California law (at the time) from happening.
As of last Friday at least, clicking on the "Download Free Player" would only take you to their store, which had no links to the actual free player (wanted it for http://www.airamericaradio.com).
My collection is a little over 240GB in a nice RAID5 linux server on my LAN all sorted subdirectories by:
Genre:Artist:Album:Track# - SongName.mp3
99% of it ripped from my CDs too.
I currently use an Archos 20GB MP3 player in the car, but that is only USB 1 and the Nicads last about an hour at best, so it's time to evolve to the NextGen models.
Does it require ID3 tags to play and navigate directories of MP3s like the iPOD? Or can I just copy over an artist/album/tracks sorted directory structure and navigate it that way?
The BH router will inject/32 into your internal routing table (we use OSPF) of those IPs that you want to block. At best, you might inject a couple hundred routes into the network. If you have heavy OSPF summarization, then things might not work where you summarize between areas.
uRPF was originally designed to prevent IP spoofing by attaching it to edge interfaces. It can then be crowbared with the blackhole system to also drop traffic to and from a specific IP.
email me at rhayden@nospam.geek.net and I can give you more information.
Use a blackhole routing system instead of ACLs. easier to manage and because it uses uRPF to do the drops, it's very hardware friendly. I posted a summary on NANOG about two weeks ago how I did this at the University of Wisconsin.
After winning Best Virtual Character at the MTV Movie awards, there can be little doubt that Gollum will walk away with this one as well. He's such a drama queen.
The only competition will be from Dobby, for his stunny portrayal of life in the world's oldest profession in the movie Dobby Does Dallas.

GoDaddy upsells all of their domains with options for SSL certs, privacy options, web hosting, email hosting, etc etc etc.
Their revenues are much more than just domain registrations.

Boil 'em
Mash 'em
Stick 'em in a stew!
Buffering ... please wait ...
How about a Chuppathingy? Has a nice ring to it.
This router is so good that it allows you to see Slashdot repeats twice as fast as normal!!!!
Avici terrabit routers have been "combinable" for several years.
Expensive, yes. tiny market share, yes. But they have been combinable.
And if this new router "works" as well as their other routers, we're doomed.
Doman name registrations and old Usenet postings primarily are where I'm harvested from.
What is this going to do to stem the tide of the other 3800 spams I have received in the last 18 hours?
CAN-SPAM is simply an enabling law.
Yes, it works now.
Didn't work last Friday.
Which was my point.

Hope the probe doesn't plan any side trips to Mars given how hungry the Martians have been lately...
We wouldn't want them to surrender it two two drunk germans on a weekend bender, after all.

And what if you don't have ID3 tags? You're fucked. All mu stuff is sorted by subdirectories, not by ID3 tags.
iPod is useless unless I plow through my 200GB collection and I have other life to live.
