Microsoft reiterated that they are not backing away from their original assertion that the device has the "feel and the look of an iPod". The only notable difference is the guts are from Sony
If you want small and cheap, go for an Averatec
It's 12.1", 4lbs and has a molten lava AMD mobile proc(2000+), non-removable cdrw/dvd and runs for ~$750,after Best Buy rebate. *ducks*
Asus has this offering which is intriguing although it is a 13.3".
What makes it so intriguing is that it is dirt cheap in comparison the Dell/IBM/Mac/Sony...It's priced at $699 and has nice specs:
-4.8 hours
-1.9 Kg in weight, 22mm in thickness (if i were smart i would translate that to inches/lbs for your lazy ass)
-4X USB2.0
-Centrino
-It's not ugly like most HP's/Toshibas
If anyone has experience with this laptop, do tell. Sounds too good to be true.
I mean maybe the dude had a Ford Explorer with Bridgestone tires....and maybe the guy he hit was wearing a neoteen linux hippie, sporting a black Linkin Park t-shirt(don't they all?).

I always knew Depeche Mode was influential to many other artists, but wasn't aware of their cult-like rules
...they like to hold it in the first place is that the company is actually making money off the interest of it's holdings. That's part of the reason it takes 6 friggin' months for you to get your money back. In that time, the vender(like Viewsonic, where my friend works) will have made some more change off that original $200 rebate of yours that they hold.
Whenever a programmer uses measurements, takes into account shedules, effort and costs then he is truely 'engineering'. These tasks are not always asked of say, a web developer, but if you're developing in a structured environment then you are an engineer IMHO.
Probably because 5 years ago we didn't have more-pressing issues like: Bin Laden(remember him?), North Korea ready to push red buttons. The US economy on life support, corporate fraud, etc, etc. All things that Bush should fix before he can go on oil crusades...errr, fight iraqi terrorism.
If things are relatively cheery, I doubt average-american-male gives a rats ass if we bomb asparin factories in Sudan, foreign embassies in Sarejevo. Life goes on here.

How did he get MS Access to return this custom error?
eMachines have already been out for years.
I agree. Bush should've had many more votes. I suspect foul play.
They haven't had a good album still Counterparts.
Oh.
No, but Duke Nukem forever will be in QA by then.
Is there any truth to the rumor that the winner of the destruction contest simply turned on a dual boot XP Home/WinME box?

One has to wonder how well it can run Police Quest. Time will tell. I'm sure NVidia is dodging this test.
