After unveiling cutting-edge technology for choking off the spread of viruses in March, Hewlett-Packard is quietly shelving the project, citing conflicts with Microsoft's Windows operating system, a company executive says.
Wait... does the technology conflict with Windows? Or does choking off the spread of viruses conflict with Windows?
registered a new Hotmail account and sent an abuse message about spamming activities from that account
Perhaps this wasn't a good test. If spammers frequently create temporary disposable accounts to send spam, maybe the account's incredibly short lifespan was the only investigation needed. Well, that and the fact that it was named CannedSpam4ulol@hotmail.com.
In fact, I was just talking to a coworker earlier about my new product idea. They need sanitary cube covers like those half ply protect-o toilet seat rings to protect the next victim from my blood, sweat and tears.
Getting free hardware with your subscription to Windows kind of smacks of antitrust ala Netscape. What happens to hardware manufacturers that don't sell software or dare to charge for their product? What if I don't want Microsoft controlled hardware with built in DRM?
When will the RIAA realize that they can't control technology that's already been unleashed? What they really need to do is charge us a listening fee for letting the songs enter our ears. If they initiated a per song per ear license then they'd be set. They might as well try cause it'd work just about as well.
not my best coffee!!! oh wait... wrong SBC. It'd be helpful if acronyms are only used after the names have been stated in full form for the hard of thinking.
I saw this show. All they did was call the phone. Ok, so a ringing phone won't blow up. But I can imagine some cheap ass flip device generating a spark when flipped open.
Bipedals?! We don't need no stinking bipedals!
This roadmap indicates the PR1 for 8/30. Where is it? Hmm...

Was this some other DoS attack besides posting their URL on Slashdot?
I thought Mozilla WAS the response to malware.

Great! I'll get to work on the skins. I'll start with an Orkin man. Exterminate! Exterminate!
He says the only current difference is 'how windowing is handled.
This just illustrates that most people don't understand that the fundamental flaws with Windows exist under the hood.
Someone needs to write an article explaning those details in layman's terms.

We all live in a spinning cube of doom!
(sorry, I'm infatuated with this phrase at the moment)

I live in the spinning cube of potential doom. At least that's what my co-workers call it.

it looks like this changelog fad is finally catching on too!
I've got your lost packet right here! Oh, and there's another one! They're everywhere!

locate is good for a fast prebuilt database of filenames.... I'd maybe recommend htdig for a prebuilt database of contents.

Yes, obviously they built their webserver out of shopping carts too.
But the lack of a squeaky, jammed wheel indicates it isn't IIS.
Woulda get an RFID to not have to remember your computer password? Me neither. Coming to a keyboard near you.
