You can't claim something is a standard, when it's not the standard. IE is the browser market, it therefore is the standard. Coding to a fake standard which isn't compatible with 90% of browsers just doesn't make sense. If W3C was smart they would make a standard that works 100% with IE, then people could actually use it as a standard.
Something is definitely wrong with this. Sony just screwed over a lot of it's customers. It is no longer a good electronics brand name. Beyond music and movies, they have no real products. And how does Dell get an A+ when every dell has windows on it. If people don't trust microsoft, how can they trust dell? Dell is nothing without microsoft.
I think this is a case of a group of guys looking at the hacker stuff on a webpage to see what is plausible with the information. Then claiming they succeeded, knowing unless someone does exactly what they did, no one can prove it wrong. And that is why they won't release it. You don't see the back of the tv, so a different xbox can be hooked up to it in the back. Also if you watch the cable on the left side of the screen, it never shows the full cable. The cable could easily be going off the table and a new one from another xbox coming onto the table. They just coiled it up so you would still perceive that it's all one cable. I feel sorry for all the guys on tha forum giving the guys who did this high praise and thanks, while ignoring the noob flaws in the video.
It's like watching a terrible magic trick. It's all miss direction. Lets let them look at the decoy supposedly hacked system while we boot another one under the table. Then lets not let them see the connections in the back of the tv. This video is a joke and needs to be redone right, or the hack verified by someone else who knows how to shoot a video to truly prove the claims.
How is it an illegal use of a monopoly to remove yourself from being a monopoly? To me it would seem pulling out of the EU is the only way microsoft can comply with the EU's demands. Anything less and the EU is going to continue to claim they are a monopoly. Which is sad because I don't see a ton of software companies making a profit writing linux programs. Microsoft opens the door for other people to make money and they get fined for it. The EU is sad place for innovation.

Maybe controlling the metals needed for technological progress could put a dampner on any foreign nations trying to build up technology to compete with us.
You could probe a famous person's agent and get all his clients numbers. Then probe the celebrity to get all their friends numbers. You could probe a CEO's phone and find out who he is talking to. Of course probe a spouses phone to see if they are cheating. Probe someone harrassing you's number to prove they called you to get a restraining order or to prove they broke a restraining order. The list goes on and on.
I think it would be better for humanity for phone records to be 100% private.
Prepaid cellular should advertise that their services are 100% anonymous by buying prepaid cards in cash.
Why is the music industry scared of apple? Now is the time if ever they should pounce on apple and make a fair playing field among online music. Apple can't sell songs if the music industry won't let them. People would be pissed at apple if the music industry shut down the store just because apple wouldn't let the ipod play an extra format. Although I think this should have been done 2 years ago, because today the apple store is popular. But the recording company is at an all time low in the PR department, so now is the time to do something people might not like. Honestly if something like that worked and the ipod supported wmv and other formats, people would be much more happy and the music industry could take the credit for freeing everyone's beloved device from the evil control of apple. If apple's control continues, we will probably see them become a music industry of their own signing bands and promoting them through itunes and growing to the point of mtv.

If dell starts to sells amd, intel will not be able to jack up the price of their chips to dell, because a higher price would only result in more people buying amd. The only outcome that probably would happen is there would be a price war between amd and intel the likes of we have never seen before. But no matter what happens, prices would not rise at all. Plus if dell made a 700m with an amd 64bit chip I would pick one up on the spot.

I hope it would connect physically to the system and not need an extra power supply. A lose portable drive with it's own power supply would be stupid.
