I don't see where the number of people is a problem with the platform.
The important thing is the database and chances are it's going to be MS SQL Server.
If done properly I don't see what the fuss is all about. US shouldn't worry about a national ID. They should worry about how the laws allow corporations to use people's data and sell it.
No but both are still terrorism.
Specially since in the "nobody got hurt" scenario people where still been menaced by AK47s and grenades. It just so happenens that nobody got hurt but it could have gone very ugly.
Not having enemies doesn't mean that you won't get attacs.
In the early 80s several planes where hijacked simultaniously. On of them was a SwissAir flight. The planes where landed somewhere in a desert and blown up after the passengers where taken out and released safely. The attack wasn't against directed to Switzerland. It was just one more occidental plane (despite the neutrality of the nation).
I somebody does get to deface a real banks website. Then it's almost doing them a favor because people expect sites like to be secure from intrusion. If my bank had a website that was defaceble, I would never use it again.
I would consider Blade Runner a better film but I still prefer Alien over it.
For starters Alien's only originality is it's take on the haunted house subject (from house to spaceship all very well done). And for the music, it's stated in interviews found on the extra DVDs that the music was supposed to be temporary and taken from a previous film the composer had done. The producers/director liked it and kept it like that. The composer was very pissed off. Dispite that I find the music perfect for that movie.
Rembember, 9/11 was the only catastrophy ever to happen in the world. At least from the US point of view.
The world has seen worst things done by nature or men before and since. Heck, more people die of AIDS everyday then during 9/11. But I guess nobody cares about that.
Oh dear, I can't believe the Discovery Channel has a "pimp my ride up" thing going on. With an annoying WWF-stlye announcer screamin everything and a host that looks like he busted out of a prison.
Man, I used to watch that channel for interesting documentaries. What the hell hapened?
Well I remember during database class, the teacher was making a demo with a e-commerce form on the projector. He was filling out a payment form with his name, address and all. He was almost done when most of the class realised that he didn't type random numbers for his credit card number: he was holding his card in his hand!
The teacher must have suddently realised what risk his was exposing himself and quickly finished with his demo making sure he closed the form that contained all his info.
30 seconds more his credit would have been in trouble. Or at least he would have gotten some very interresting mail orders delivered.
My 180 pound bloodhound, Flop, who can smell an unfamiliar person anywhere near my property and is gun trained is added protection.
Wow, you Americans even train your dogs to use guns.;-)

From the description:
"The Linux®-based operating system provides a stable, reliable platform - and guarantees that future applications can be integrated swiftly in the form of firmware upgrades."
Well, I you coun't that the author of the book (Michael Crichton) contradict's himself in the sequel "The lost world" (the book sucked almost as much as the movie) about the T-Rex not been able to see immobile things. So I guess it's not trustworthy at all.
I have some serious trouble in believing that a documentary about the Galapagos could be considered contreversial. I mean, what is this? The Middle Ages? No, I would say the US Dark Ages. It's just incredible the level of religious integrism that country has reached. Even the Vatican is open to things like evolution and the likes as it doesn't negate the existence of God.
This is ridiculous, when he said that 2-factor authentification was not good enought, he stated quite clearly that this was for e-commerce/e-banking. For LAN and local authentification it works just fine.
Try doing a "man-in-the-middle" attack when loging on to the computer in front of you... And in a LAN enviroment the risk must be very low and requires physical access to the network.
RTFA before posting a reference to it (yeah I know, I'm nuts).
I agree so much with you on the second point. Were I live, a 2 episode DVD of manga costs twice as much as your average holywood movie. If you take in account that a anime season is usually aroung 24 episodes, that makes a lot of money to put down. I'm very glad to get a good preview of a anime show and put the money down once it finally reaches the stores.
I still prefer the subtitle to the headline: "Kinda blurry". At least it got my hopes to see a nice picture down a notch before looking at the pilexated mess that represents the planet. Well, maybe I should still have lowered my expectations. What can Can't expect much at this distances.
It's already possible to send morse code on TCP connecting to a server: http://www.dallas.net/~jvpoll/pgms/SimpleInetMorse Enc.html
And I'm pretty sure there are other solutions.

Wow, sounds a like a Hunter Thomson flashback.

Yeah I get that too. Actually, I'm rarelly impressed by lack of options on anything.
It's probably a sain marketing move. Germany is strongly into open source, lunix etc...
They're doing marketing were they need it most.
Or totally get rid of that attrocity and install this instead: http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
Nope. Argh I hate myself for remembering this.
DVD-RW/DVD+RW versions will also be available for sell for those. I'm all for defacing-trolls "wasting" their online time on that.

Nah, it's all fake. Made to order for the mice and set under fake layers of sediment.

Who needs that? Install eXeem, run anti-spy and off you go. It was my test of Microsoft's anti-spyware and I must say it worked perfectly.
Or maybe, more realisticly, have a voice recognition chip integrated to the DAP.
