I'd like to see the people behind the show try their hand at a few "light" episodes, to somewhat relieve all the drama. There was the one episode where Colonel Tigh's wife shows up, which was definitely not as heavy as the rest of the season, and I thought it worked pretty well.
I'm a huge fan of the show - something I really doubted would happen when I first heard about the miniseries - but a slight break from the generally bleak atmosphere every now and then would be much appreciated.

I'm not going to try to explain to you why you should buy it, especially since you don't seem too interested in the first place, but I'll tell you why I will.
I buy Final Fantasy games for one reason and one reason only - I like that kind of stuff. Even if it is "standard generic fantasy anime fare", hey, that's fine by me. Sometimes when something turns out to be exactly what you expected, it isn't a bad thing.
The combat system in XII seems like it could be a little wonky, but I thought the same thing about Star Ocean 3 and ended up absolutely loving that game.
I don't know if I'll need one, but Spore is definitely a game I'd deem upgrade-worthy. I've been drooling over that game since Will Wright showed it off in the video from the GDC last year.
This is slightly offtopic, but did you need to do anything special to get Anarchy Online running at more than a snail's pace? Indoors areas were fine, but I ended up with a framerate under 1FPS in city/outdoor areas. I should note that I'm using the CVS version of Cedega.
I'll throw in another "me too". I've read the series multiple times (as well as Adams' other books), and heard the radio series. I went in to the theater not really expecting to like it, and enjoyed it quite a bit. I figured I may have set my expectations too low - thinking anything better than crap was good enough - but the next time I watched it, I enjoyed it as much as the first.
I'm pretty sure this was an attempt at a joke, but I'm going to indulge my self here.
A). The original rootkit fiasco was the result of a poorly implemented DRM system. There's no need for that since there's already a DRM system for the PS2 (at least if you want to play online) - it's called DNAS.
B). Even if they could and they wanted to, what's the worst that could someone could do to a vulnerable PS2 - delete your game saves? If that's even possible, it would be a lot of time and effort for the equivalent of stomping on your buddy's memory card.
I gave up on it pretty quickly after the switch from TechTV. Actually, my cable company did too. A few months after the switch it was replaced with the *shudder* Hallmark Channel.
I had a Nielsen box in my house for a while. Later on, I actually found out it had been an accident of sorts, and it had actually been intended for a more "normal" family down the street.
I fear that I may be partially responsible for the ever smaller section of TV listings on the TV Guide Channel, as I used to leave it (it was actually the Preview Channel at the time) on for hours at a time when I was out of the room to confuse "the man".
Don't worry, you've still got "Day Of Launch 360 Impressions", "Day After Launch 360 Impressions", and "Day After The Day After Launch 360 Impressions" coming up. Maybe they'll cover what you're interested in.
That's an interesting point - there are quite a few import only games I would love to get my hands on, but I'm not a modchip kind of guy.

Just my two cents.
Thanks for linking the video. I was going to look around for it, but I'm lazy.

I guess 720 will be next.
The Xbox or the game?
(Sorry, couldn't resist)
The link goes to the UT2004 mod so, yeah, they're related. Personally, I never found the mod that fun, so I doubt I'll be picking this up.
Well, actually, I wouldn't have picked it up anyway. Digital distibution is not my cup of tea.
You don't seem to have to be a subscriber to tag. I just gave it a try and it seemed to work.

However, the FPS has essentially hit a playability wall like Dale Earnhardt...
Nice one. That could be a fun project to play around with - a (de)Pig Latin-izer.

Actual implimentation with hand-holding. Hexus.net was discussing a kit to do this a few days ago.

"Dude, smell this! It really stinks."
By sabotaging your input to Neilen, aren't you sabotaging your own 'vote' to the TV agencies? or maybe I'm just naieve =)
No, you're not being naive. That was sort of the point of my post, though I could have put it more clearly.

I can't believe that comments like this are still being modded funny.
The guy likes to bathe with his consoles, I guess...
"Well, they use the product more - they should pay more for it, right?"
I can imagine lots of executive types not even pausing to think for a second before accepting that as an entirely reasonable idea.

I'm sorry, but saying "Simon Cowell would sooo..." just proved who resides at the top of the lameness ladder.
