    So, that basically meens you have the shakes from too much coffee, and you can kiss coding goodbye for awhile.

    If you happen to be in space, then you would benefit from having an centrifuge, that you could use for a couple hours a day to maintain bone mass. This I think has been proven to work. So, why wouldn't it also work on Earth when you exceed 1 G in it? Sure impulses might be more effective (time per day wise), but it could be difficult (or painful) to administer them to all bones etc..

    I suppose that might be. Though I'm sure it might be impossible to understand if you didn't know some basic German words.. That text had quite a lot of them. Outsiders perhaps understand somewhat better misspoken language. (Though at least dialects are worse if you are an outsider.)

    But that was such a great mix of German and German like "English" words that it was truly funny! Though I happen to know some German so I can't really tell how understandable that was to a person who doesn't understand a word of German. And no I haven't seen that too much on /. So no trend there? And if it is, then that at least was perfectly executed..

    Well, why do the great books have to be made into bad movies? I'm perfectly happy to just have read the books. Its their loss who only watch movies, if they never read any good SciFI books. Maybe some 10-20 years from now when the games industry and movies have merged, and there might exist some automatic software that model environments and people, that it will be possible to easily make complex environments so that film makers can concentrate into making masterpeaces that would do justice to books.. *I wish..*

    Well, even better than that, it was maybe three years ago (if I remember correctly.. I could be wrong about the year) at Koneisto music festival in Helsinki (Finland), that I paid the ticket through online banking and received a barcode message to my phone. Then I gained entrance by showing it to a scanner at the event.. So this is new, eh??

    Also there is the risk of keyloggers when using encrypted files/filesystems from your regular OS (tough Windows mainly, I guess..).

    Wonder how fast household robots will spread outside of Japan..? After they have developed to a level where they are easily recognized, by all, to be usefull, and not be just novelty items? *And cheaper too..*

    You know there are programs that can securely erase individual files (like these) so it wouldn't take very long to do it. Though it most probably takes more time than you can make the police stand behind your door. =) But really, if he really did upload the movie, he wiped the movie after sending it (if he is paranoid :) or, more likely, he wiped it after he heard that Paramount or someone was on to him. (And then Paramount or police would find that he had wipe/sdelete/srm/etc. installed.)

    But how would you play that in an area small enough to fit in an aircraft? Also a bigger problem would be the only around 30 seconds of weightlessness you can achieve using airplanes. Wouldn't it pretty much degrade to something akin to old western gun-fights (with non-lethal guns obviously..)?

    Somehow I liked better the clip played by real people who redid this sketch, than the Nuklear Power flash version. (Can't find a link now for the real ppl one.. and maybe I just remeber it was good.)

    Anyway, that Summoner Geeks version linked by the original poster is the best. =)

    Or you could install Html Validator (based on Tidy) extension and then you don't have to do anything. The number of warnings and errors will be displayed in a popup in the statusbar.

    Though, for this page (at +5) it only shows 1 warning..

    Another example is the wire spot halogen lights, once they became available in 220/110V versions they took off. Nobody seemed to want those bulky 220->12V transformers around.
    I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want long open wires with 230V in them running in my house!
