Is that people don't have to pay seven grand for the 'official' Development software for the GameCube. This, and other Dev Tools for this console, has the potential to allow more people to be able to develop software for this console. People will have the ability, on their own time, to learn game development on their own, at home. In addition they will not have worry or pay to go to REALLY expensive schools for this development experience.

Instead of writing one big long post I'll sum up the questions from the post and give a few suggestions based on my own Experiences with ADHD.
Have you tried natural alternatives such as DPA/EPA (Omega3), 5-HTP (natural precursor to serotonin), and what were your results?
First off, I would suggest looking at this PBS Frontline show about ADD/ADHD. Not only will this show give some insight into ADHD but there is a specific segment about how someone who doesn't have ADHD (or in their family too) convinced the Parents of an ADHD teen to try alternative methods. The results are pretty amazing. This is one of the reasons why I laugh when people who don't have ADHD try to push their views down people's throats. They will never know what it's like.
Here's the link. It's a pretty good show (Real Player is needed to watch):
I have tried just about every ADHD medicine on the market and have found that Metadate and Ritalin work for me. Metadate is a time released version of Ritalin as Ritalin only lasts about 4 hours or so (for me anyways).
How have you coped with ADHD, and how have you found it affect your work performance?
Anyways, my diagnosis for ADHD didn't come until College. I would study, and know the given course material forwards and backwards. However, I would consistently get low marks on my tests/quizzes. After a year of frustration, I took some time off school and eventually tested for ADHD.
One of the main characteristics of someone with ADHD is that they think 'out side the box' and not in the most typical logical sense as you non-ADHD'ers do. The best way to put it is if two people, one with ADHD and one without, were asked to create code for a simple solution of moving files on a server. Any method of coding could be used but you could only use Perl. The person without ADHD would create a few lines of code and would be similar, if not exact, to all other non-ADHD'ers. The person with ADHD would come up with one or more completely different ways to move the files that non-ADDers would have never thought of.
Keep this fact in mind, in regards to learning and education in the non-add world.
Schools, tests and whatnot are only designed to test one specific logical pattern of thinking. If you donâ(TM)t do well on a test, itâ(TM)s not a reflection of how smart you are or are not. In college, you almost always will not get tested to see if you know the material. You get tested on whether or not you can understand the professorâ(TM)s pattern of logic. These test results provide an answer of how well your non-add logical thinking is.
ADHD types, in non-ADHD schooling, need to take the extra time to decrypt (for lack of a better term) non-add logic, apply what ever concept youâ(TM)re learning to the decrypted non-add logic, and then translate it all to ADHD logic. This is the main reason I do not have an MCSE (or any other certification for that matter). These tests only apply to non-ADHD logic. ADHD people need to have extra time to take these tests and work through each question with the âdecryptionâ(TM) pattern noted above. Better yet, ADHD focused tests need to be created to be able to show non-ADHDers that they are just as smart, if not smarter than the rest.
Iâ(TM)ve tried many of the sample MCSE/Red Hat tests in the past and have never been able to finish half of the tests. Itâ(TM)s a bit frustrating. However, itâ(TM)s not as frustrating as the stories of people who take and pass certifications with out ever reading a book or touching any MS technologies. They just know how to take the sort of tests for the MCSE in their sleep. It makes me sick when I learn about MCSE certified people who never opened a book but knew how to ace the logic in these tests.

As a result, 33,000 people were laid off from Boeing since Sept 11th.
Boeing needs to come up with a different business that IS NOT aircraft, aerospace or military related. The People that live in the Cities where Boeing plants are at are tired of this 'every 10 or so year' layoff cycle.
I'd like to wait for the full report to be released but I've got some thoughts on this article.
There's too many conclusions drived from too little facts. How can a conclusion be derived about wether they used plants if only the Volcanic Layers and fossils were tested for age? There's no mention of testing or even finding any sort of plant material. Geology researchers (about 98% of them anyways) are not going to know or care about testing for this sort of thing.
Furthermore, there's no mention of attempting to re-create the environment that the fossils were found in based on geological tests, it seems that theories were based only on the fossils found. (At least that's what I get from the wording of the article). For all we know these fossils were moved from a different area/region/continent. The fossils were found bashed in. Was the bashing the result of being prey for a different, un-discovered predator?
Also, did anyone catch, near the end of the article, the following quote:
In this single study area, the team has found fossils dating from the present to more than 6 million years ago, painting a clear picture of human evolution from ape-like ancestors to present-day humans.
Is it me or is there something REALLY wrong in the fact that such a wide age range of fossils were found IN ONE STUDY AREA? I refuse to accept the fact that ALL of the fossils came from ONE area without some sort of assistance in reaching their final destination.
I did my U-Grad work in Archaeology and didn't pursue it because of these 'play in my sandbox or else' reserchers and their theories that never hold water.

Let me tell you something. The article about me written by Seth Schiesel, AKA Amis (his ingame name) is such a roving pack of lies slandering the person I really am in real life that I'm flat out disgusted by the whole thing.
right now I'm too stunned and upset at the amount of lies, miscontext, misquotes and outright slander posted on the article to even log in.
I'll be filing a lawsuit against the New York Times for slander, as many of the things put in that article about my real life (and even ingame) are so horribly untrue or twisted and the truth stretched to paint me in a much much different light than the person I really am.
He paints me as a shy, akward, socially inept reclusive nerd which is such a contrast to the person I really am. I make racy jokes, but he paints me as a virtual rapist. I'm broke in RL, but he paints me as a suicidal, emotionally unstable man that lives in the slums (I live in a good neighborhood) and can't afford to buy food. This article is absolutely ruinous to myself, my business, my future. It's the lowest form of slander imaginable.
Even the pictures used were horrible. The first is dark and brooding and in the second picture I was about to bust out laughing, which also looks a hell of alot like crying and is just a flat out BAD pic.

Microsoft and Apple are the only two companies that have identified that in the information age, there's a whole new set of rules for the Entertainment Industry.
These include:
1) Identifying and leading the way for all media companies (Film, music, TV, etc.) to make the switch from their industrial age ideals to the information age. The example of the evolution of Disney is a PRIME example of companies that are/were holding on to their industrial age ideals. The ones that hold on to these ideals, like the RIAA as a whole, will be on a driect path with their own extinction by their own doing.
2) Not waiting around for RealNetworks or other Companies/Developers (::cough:: Unix Media player creators::cough::) to catch a clue. These companies all seem be missing the fact that efforts are focused on the present and not the coming trends of the future. Because of not being able to identify future trends or even be trend setters, they all are either playing catch up or just making a compatable player for the present technologies.
3) Technology moves at astronomical speed. Instead of waiting around for all the harumphing about the MPEG-4 Standard, Apple and Microsoft are blowing right by them. What do you want to bet this standard will be a non-issue in 18 months because parties can't agree on one thing?
Microsoft and Apple are where they are for a reason. In this day and age it's 'Lead, follow, or step aside' and most of the big players are taking the lead. It's attitudes and replies such as this that laid the groundwork for the addidtion of ADHD people in the 'Disabilities Act'.
The Act is designed to protect people with ADHD from un-informed, un-deucated, people such as yourself who have never encountered people with ADHD.
Also, your reply also gives yet another example of the type of bigoted crap we have to go through on a Daily basis.
