Linear campaign - open-ended campaign With a linear campaighn you know where to go next.
Less weapons - More weapons All weapons are unique and well thought out in halo 2, I don't know how it's in GTA:SA
Less than 10 vehicles - 200 vehicles Again, the're all truly unique, each one requiring different strategies. I know they mostly work the same in GTA:SA
Microsoft/Bungie - Rockstar Whats wrong with bungie (or rockstar, I don't get the point you're trying to make)
Dedicated soundtrack - Rage Against The Machine, Cypress Hill and Dr Dre. Have you even listened to the halo 2 soundtrak? or read the reviews?
Sexy aliens - Girlfriends Got me there. (although, cortana;-P)
Green armour - More clothes than Final Fantasy X:2. And tattoos. And haircuts. In singleplayer yes, in the story, the MC has green armor. In multiplayer howerver, you can be many colors, have a symbol on your shoulder, and be alien or human!
Excellent multiplayer - Fun multiplayer Great graphics - Good graphics Here i'm starting to think i should defend GTA:SA:-)
6 hours gameplay single player at least - 40-50 hours at least I know ill play that 6 hours through at least ten times. 10 * 6 =60.
No sex - loadsa a sex I'm sure everyone here gets lotsa sex in real life;-P
Warthog racing - Monster truck racing Nope, the race mode is out in Halo 2
No stats increase - Starts increase Sure there stats increase, On xbox live.
I have played quite a bit of Half-life and Unreal tournament, and I still like Halo best. Half life single player is decent, but the enemy's are stupid, and I don't think multiplayer is generely counted as a big part of it (if it is, it sucks). Unreal tournement I have also played, and although there are vehicles, and more players, and tons of other stuff, it's just not as fun as halo is. That's just my opinion, and some may prefer PC gaming.
Isn't it funny how sometimes you read half of the comments, than someone comes up with something, than the next 20 people say exacly the same thing (while it's not been mentioned before? I suppose all slashdotters think alike, at the same time.
Microsoft doesn't like people knowing about ther exploits. Every single one of firefox's is released to the public. So there could be more for IE, only microsoft knows...
You could crash, then using an experimental technique upgrade your car so it goes faster than light. Then you can drive back in time, and have it crash in a car that has already crashed, before the crash happened.
Everybody, watch the demo. It includes great statements like: "The first all in one digital command central" "Yeah, now that's tight" "I got my favoritebspots on the web. I click, and BOOM, I'm there" "Check this. When that little light goes off, I know i'm about to get hooked up" "connect the playme to the beatbox, and everywhere i go, i'm the dj"
All this with a funky beat in the background. Yeah.

Half Life 2 Goes Gold
·
· Score: 2, Interesting
From the Halo 2 Gold announcement (I'm not sure how accurate this is conserning pc games):
"Gone Gold" is a somewhat archaic expression, since the "gold discs" are actually digital tapes and eventually silver discs. But it certainly feels golden. This basically means that the game has been shipped to retail manufacture. Somewhere in the world, a gigantic DVD pressing factory has started making Xbox game discs with the utterly complete version of Halo 2. Maybe there IS a gold disc somewhere. Perhaps it's time for an epic quest!
Kids are curious - yes. Kids want to learn what's important for them to learn - no. They want to learn about what they think is cool.
I think children want to learn about what they think is important. If being cool is a priority for you, then you want to learn about cool things.
Ever since I learned I needed math to become a programmer I wanted to learn about math. And math ain't cool.
"Catechumen" is a fantasy FPS (first person shooter) just like "Half-Life", only the player is a Christian armed by an angel with Swords of the spirit for weapons. What's exciting in this for Christian gamers is the subject and context of the game. Parents will like its non-violent content and message. Secular, hardcore gamers will (and have) knock its gameplay and technical limitations. I think it's a great step forward for Christian-oriented gaming and is great fun!
Yeah, just like half-life. Sounds like some "great Cristian Action"(tm)
before slackware, I'd tried to install Caldera (before I knew SCO = evil, and it came with a magazine). I didn't have enough RAM for a graphic install, and it didn't have text-based. Slackware works fine.
Yeah, who needs to know HTML. I mean, weve got frontpage. Everybody uses IE anyways. And frontpage is only for semi-professionals. Normal people use Powerpoint or Word.
And while were at it, why do we use HTML anyways. We can link thousands of word and powerpoint and excel documents together! And if you're like, super-professional or something you can use pure flash pages. They are soooo good.
There are dangers of spending too much time in front of a computer? I should be dead by now. In fact, I doubt there would be many slashdot readers left by now, If this were true.
Where can I get a torrent?
Dang, I must be dead!
you mean 1024?
We do.
7 apps that have free updates that you haven't installed is 7 to many.

how why do you think that will work?
And then lose your key with the rst of the data!

Sooooooo Boooooooring
Must.Sleep.

You know, I've never actually found a site that does that. Could you list an example?
Yeah, just like half-life. Sounds like some "great Cristian Action"(tm)
"clean uninstall?" you mean,

No no no. Of course not. Are you stupid.
A question for the slashdot community:
Bleach, soap, or a moist whipe? Which works best on hardisks? And what brand?
Do they get a white hat with the certificate?
The Sims is a treadmill - Manage daily activities, increase abilities, make money, buy stuff, repeat.
I disagree- it's more like cheat, buy stuff, repeat.
"problem connecting to tracker - operation timed out"
