While we bicker over a movie, what about the mistakes in real life?
1. You are free. 2. You read slashdot because you're an 'intellectual' 3. That +5 Karma you have was hard earned. 4. You don't like Britney Spears and don't use windows at all.
As A smokesman of PETA I must detest this use of cruel "WiFi" equipment transversing open seas! The signals put out interfer with our precious dolphins and other marine wildlife!
Besides the point, Josi my pet Dolphin Friend ran away!
Do you know Shulgin personally? I've read his works since I was a child.... (Well, I'm 18 now! hah.. probably like 14) Fascinating man.... must be cool to know him.
They change your perception and subsequently understanding of the world around you. A powerful psychoactive such as LSD distorts reality around you and inside you.. so much so that illogical understandings arrise.
But, those understandings are the most logical thing ever when on said psychotropic.
Lysergically Yours is a good book, but is nothing compared to some of the other books available out there.
I would suggest TIHKAL and PIHKAL by Alexander and Ann Shulgin
That is, if you're interested in the chemistry... but for more casual psychonaughts, I would explore Erowid for information.
The best part both TIHKAL and PIHKAL's more interesting and (knowledgable) parts are available for FREE online via those two links. Have fun, and remember, psychoactives can be a valuable learning experience but to anything good there's equal if not more bad. Read everything with logic and don't go and turn out like Huxley.

SCO launches new Linux Distro with Compressed Methane!
Posted by BREAL69 on Monday June 28, @1:06PM From the ba-da-bing dept. breal writes "When SCO deputed its new CD-Delivering service, they also deputed some new technology which uses compressed methane to launch CDs to potential customers. SCO also says it has patented the technology, which they call "Gas on DEMAND" which they plan on donating the patents to many non-profit organizations.'" Looks like something at SCO smells fishy again.
If this guys name will really be that memory inducing? I mean, sure, he's the first commercial astrona....pilot to touch the edge of space, okay... I mean, don't get me wrong, it's a GREAT achievement, but does the mass of sheeple around the globe think the same?
*****The QD could be a really interesting product if they used the synergy effects created by merging a phone with a mobile game system. For instance, Bluetooth would be a great, albeit power-consuming, way to implement multiplayer games. The same goes for location-based or WAP stuff.*****
How can this guy even be a +1? Obviously he isn't even a real tester because if he's been playing a QD how can you miss the BLARRINGLY OBVIOUS MULTIPLAYER OPTION OVER BLUETOOTH
First, you know how some programs tell you "CLOSE ALL OPEN PROGRAMS BEFORE INSTALLING" just in CASE it needs to overwrite something, 99.99% of the time whaty ou have open, it doesn't need to overwrite.
Same thing with microsoft telling you to turn off your firewall, they don't want 10,000 extra people calling them saying, "WTF?!?" because of some random firewall problems with windows update, leave it on.
Okay, attempt #2, first Velvet Revolver now the Beastie Boys....
How long will it take the stupid record lables to figure out people WILL hit the shift key (replace shift key with whatever it takes) and once that ONE pirated copy appears on the internet it's a no-brainer from there...
All it takes is 1 person to break the DRM... once that has been done the data is free game.

Look, I'm sorry for rudely interupting this discussion, but I want to ask you good patrons a question!
I am age 19 living in the 'inner city' (Ghetto, for all you non-cultured folk out there) I am writing you this message from 3 stolen cellphones wired to a reinforced fence surrounding my apartment building. I am in real need of a working email account, and would prefer a GMail one.
If some kind soul could send me an invite, i'd greatly appreciate it and give them a big "ghetto hug" to thank them!
Seriously, help me, guys!
Julian, Detroit
(my email is Oea@soft(spam)home.net (minus the (spam)! )) please, hook a brotha up
Considering a few days ago a friend suggest velvet revolver to me, sending me 3-4 songs from their new album to me over DC++, needless to say, I didn't like them very much and propmptly deleted the music files (within 24 hours i assure you!)
The funniest thing about this, is at the end, he ends up using a casette output converter.... the SAME EXACT ONE YOU CAN USE ON AN iPOD OR $50 MP3 PLAYER!
Look, I was just giving the price I paid about 5 months ago for my 80gb maxtor drive. I was guessing price might have went down a bit, big deal?
Why do you people on slashdot constantly get joy out of correcting someone's innane mistake then putting a little one-liner at the end?? It's so frickin' common.
But not down to my level of use, seems more geared at enterprise solutions....80gb IDE drives are going for what... 50 cents a gb now? last 80gb drive i bought was around $60
Don't know the cost of this drive, but i'll stick to my RAID arrays and be happy as a Joe Consumer.

Yes, I'm looking forward to it. I mostly enjoyed Shulgin's experience reports and the pertaining chemistry. Then again, I love bio-chemistry :)
Very interesting to see this on slashdot.

I don't understand the joy of tricking people for 1/10th of a second that you maggots get out of this stupid bullshit.
I mean, really, honestly, what's the fucking point troll?

All talents can be sold.... you just have to be creative enough to figure out how to sell them...
A talent for being nice to someone? Sounds like a good salesman to me.. maybe
"So the company is monitoring traffic and picking out machines that look suspicious."
Okay, isn't that what GMail is doing but to ADD a small advert, and everyone goes bonkers..
Comcast does it to 'stop spam' and they're a hero...?
