This was not an eclipse like some have mentioned. I think the transit was just as advertised. Unfortunately the sun wasn't very active today, but the clean disk is kinda pretty anyway. I watched all of it through my 5" reflector (with a baader filter of course) and loved every minute of it.
C'mon, leave the poor guy alone... He's obviosly in training for making improper management assumptions. That IS one of the most important skills to have if you wanna claw your way up the corporate ladder.
CD Images? Where? Still don't think they are going to be putting out ISO images for 9.1.
The last time I tried doing an FTP upgrade from 8.2 to 9.0 it broke a bunch of stuff. Who knows, maybe I f'd something up and it wasn't SuSE's fault. I ended up re-installing 9.0 from scratch. It really can't hurt to try a system upgrade via YaST. What's the worst that can happen, it breaks and you have to reinstall? Just point at the new mirror and let it fly.
He is correct in the statement that you are still vulnerable even though you are playing a game. Your computer WILL service the request if it comes along.
I think the point would have come across a little better if there wasn't a personal attack attached to it. He probably wasn't feeling very good about himself today so he tried to make himself feel better by belittling you.
Maybe we should try to get all of these hackers laid. They won't have all winter to write these nasty viruses, worms, etc. if they are busy gettin' some!
