Many reasons, lack of recognition, no fulfillment, long commute, work hours, and never really got long with the boss.
When I changed jobs, I went form working a 40 hour work week to 35, 90 minute commute each way down to 12-30 minutes depending on traffic, 4 weeks vacation from 3, a better salary, and a much for fulfilling job and environment... I should have switched much sooner. When you don't feel like going in to work because of several factors.... you need to reconsider your job. I've been at my new job now for almost 8 years, and I love it. Getting up in the morning is not a chore to get ready to go to work, I don;t call in sick just because I'm sick and tired of the job. I'm so much better off mentally and physically. I save around 15 hours a week if I count commute and work hours..... 15 extra hours for me a week.... that's huge!
Expensive, I don't see myself upgrading since my old kindle still works fine and has page turn buttons. I hate models with the touch interface to turn pages, give me a reader that I can hold and turn pages with just 1 hand and I am happy.
I still use an old Kobo as well for this reason, page turn buttons.
Montreal has had this for a few years (BIXI), hasn't been profitable yet but many people use it and enjoy it for the couple of months when it's available (usually early May to November if I remember correctly).

I have an older Kindle, and 2 Kobo's. I've never tried a Nook (can't recall ever seeing one in a store up here in Canada but the Kobo's can be found in lots of stores) so I can't tell if it's better or not. I don't tend to judge by features only, I like trying them out.
A big selling point with me is there needs to be a button to turn the page and it has to be comfortable to hold with 1 hand while turning pages, something you can't really do with touch gestures to turn pages.
Basically when I'm asking is, what does Nook bring to the table that the others do not?
The government is trying to eradicate everything English and have everyone just talk French. The optimist in me says Quebec should learn from this, but the realist in me knows they won't.
Pretty bad when children can't use any language but French during recess and during their lunch breaks, we have language cops going around offices making sure microwave buttons are in French and that Italian pasta names are in French, can't have people ordering RIGATONI now can we....
I switched from VISA to MASTERCARD because the system sucked, it pissed me off having to jump through hoops to buy something. Then MASTERCARD came out with the same system, just not used as much so I'm still staying with them.
Actually pretty funny story... I made a purchase last Fall on a website that had the MASTERCARD security thingy, I hit cancel cause my account got locked out, and the purchase STILL WENT THROUGH.... ya... nice security there.
Now some of their moves are pretty dumb, but I like this one. Would be nice to see that picture end up on Google Earth, but I imagine it would take under 5 minutes before the lawyers would get involved.
I agree, and I am so happy that they are remaking Resident Evil and Resident Evil: Zero for the Wii, I never played those cause I find they look awful now, but a remake? I'm ready to preorder them as soon as I can.
Lower the price so that's it's the same cost as DVD's or less and people will buy. I don't buy them unless I get them from Amazon when they have a 50% off sale on Blu-Ray, no way will I pay a premium for a movie just because of the format, higher resolution or not (which lots of the older movies actually look WORSE on Blu Ray).
so of course it's going to be pay per song. Actually I think most companies would make it pay per song as well, but didn't EA start the whole micro payment thing anyway?
I wish I had found out about this YESTERDAY instead of today. I would have taken the day off to go, now it's pretty much too late.
I somewhat agree with the multiple venues, but if this brings MORE people to 1 spot instead of a handful in several spots, it might carry more weight.
I used to use the file manager that came with DOS 5.0 or 6.0 (don't remember) until someone showed me Norton Commander.. WOW! Now I use Total Commander (previously Window's Commander) and it's amazing. Always the first program I open when I log into Windows and I do ALL my file handling with that.
50$ in the States, here in Canada they still sell for 60$ (59.99$), and this even after our dollar is practically at par with the American dollar.
Wonder if the prices will ever come down here, or will people have to bitch and moan about first.
From Koodo, in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I just checked on my phone, a LG G6 and Facebook came preinstalled... no option to delete, just DISABLE...

Just bring the Drizzt Do'Urden books to the big screen, I'd go see that.

I had one tell me that ping was too technical and to talk to one of his workers instead.... I was left speechless. Project didn't fare too well.

I think you meant to say, "Oui".

But not for me. I don't like their prices, some items lack features (Apple TV needs Xvid/DivX support) and they are too lawyer happy for me.
But I have to admit, they make very nice products (Macbooks, ipod touch, their 30 inch screen)

It was easy, I was able to finish it without dying once, I had even taped myself on a VHS tape doing it, took some time, but it was possible.
The Wii has Dragon Quest and a Final Fantasy coming for it, can't wait to get my hands on those 2.

I know of exactly 1 person that uses Netscape, that's it. And he is a PHB, go figure.
