    pipeline's leak lead to bigger spills.

    Every drop of oil that goes through the keystone pipeline will be refined and then shipped to Europe. The companies behind the pipeline have stated as much.

    The overall effect on of the pipeline is something like .05% of the world's demand. it isn't but a drop in the bucket.

    Smart people would drain the oil away from the middle east first and save the Canadian oil for when things get bad in 50 years.

    Not only that but zombies combine multiple situations. You need physical defense, infection monitoring, unknown medical care, rioting, panic, etc

    You can combine all your forces. Police ambulance fire military into a single exercise easily.

    And it is easier for the actor to play their roles.

    Game of thrones is the most pirated because HBO won't let it go. in order to watch game of thrones without paying $100 a month for cable(and yes that is what your bill is including the HBO pricing) you either have to wait 1 year and then pay full price for it from amazon, iTunes,etc. or you can pirate it and watch it a couple of hours after it airs.

    HBO is killing themselves by not having even a paid for streaming system.

    but they only watch 17 channels. while it isn't always the same 17 channels, I would be shilling to bet on the 200 channels tha the average person gets that if they could have a bundle that only gave them 40 channels that included the ones they want for the same price they would be just as happy with cable as they are now.

    right now cable tv providers are the most hated group. you don't get much choice you don't feel like your paying for something that you use(using just 10% of a service does that).

    Or the Sun is getting ready to fire a plasma lance(solar flare) at us. The red eye is a count down when it disappears they fire.

    I have always wondered what would happen if an earth sized object(like one of it's many moons) crashed into Jupiter? what would the resulting crash look like? The heat would last for a century or two as well. Enough heat to alter the winds of jupiter? I am probably wrong.

    Listen to republicans talk of small government sometime and in the same speech they are for increasing military expenditure. Ran Paul's budget had a massive increase for te military and paid for that by increasing taxes on the poor

    Only if you live in the USA. If you live in Europe cities you can get three times that spend for half that price. The simple fact is comcast and time warner are not upgrading their networks. They should be rolling out fiber to the home right now in every city. Instead we get more copper when they do physical upgrades at all. Fiber makes more sense instead Of using copper lines that are 30 years old. 90% of of coax runs to homes and buildings are RG59 and that should scare you.

    Sitting n an office chair for 8-12 hours a day doesn't help much either. I miss my old job where I was on my feet all day long. Now I am in a chair for the entire day and it sucks.

    What we need to do is to automate management, and accounting systems and go work on our feet all day. Obesity will disappear.

    that is my problem. all the channels I do watch are only available in huge bundles of one or two channels each.

    So I have to do all or nothing. However next week I am taking my cable box in and going for nothing.

    bullshit.

    in the 1890's copper wire didn't have insulation that would work. Nor was there appropriately sized wire.

    The underground pipe might have been laid in the 1890's but the wire was pulled and replaced in the 1970's or 80's.

    It is easy enough to tell what kind of insulation does it have? if it is wax paper you might be right but you would get all sorts of cross talk.

    I don't know about fried but that was my thought. the injury cross linked his normal "cpu" and vision "GPU" basically using his normal vision processing as a massive floating point processor. Not unlike using your GPU to mine bit coins or do other massively parallel processing.

    Read the summary. The windows 8.1 update has to be one of the most botched requires updates ever. The only good thing is that when it fails it fails early enough that no one notices. It doesn't yeah the machine it jut fails to update and gen locks out other updates.

    I like that idea. Every time company A buys out company B the board of directors and corporate officers of company A have to murder the Board and corporate officers of company B. Let's define a hostile takeover with guns. Now t be fair company A would then have to provide compensation for the families of the lives they took.

    Companies would avoid merging which means more companies which would increase the competition and lower prices. Then we can say CEOs desere their pay as one day they will earn it

    you laugh but it was precisely because of VHS versus BETA that I spent 10 years trying to figure out why in one version of Return of the Jedi the Falcon loses it's sensor dish escaping from the Death Star II and in another it doesn't.

    our BETA copy of the video didn't have it and my cousins VHS did. It was an off comment made by my cousin that went along the lines of "Not a scratch". Only years later did I realize that lucas randomly edited and rereleased versions of the movies.

    Personally though if you going to watch star wars you have to watch it on Laser sword disc.

    ah so what you need are autoresizing tabs. So the tabs resize based on how many you have open. I haven't bothered looking at chrome in a while as I only use it to keep my tablets synced. but I know safari does that.

    A German teenager of a foreign exchange program was shot dead for trying to talk to a neighbor in Montana. The neighbor thought he was some kind of foreigner who was going to hurt him.

    Another stat that gun nuts don't like mentioning is that 30% of current gun owners couldn't pass a pyschactric evaluation. They are just that crazy.

    80% of all iOS devices have updates installed within 1 month of the updates release.

    which is why I have both. having one device while useful sucks. when that one device breaks you are stuck without and have a hard time getting support, as most of it is online and guess what your device doesn't work.

    I can have a laptop, a smart phone and a tablet. If something happens to one I can use one of the other ones to help fix the broken one or at least order a new one.

    I use my tablet for reading and online stuff. I use my laptop to load a dozen websites at the same time. play games and anything where I need a real keyboard.

    Considering since my laptop is a mid 2009 macbook this setup has worked out well. This has been the longest I have kept a single computer ever. I was always upgrading something but Now I go 5-7 years between hardware upgrades.

    that's just it you should at least have your drivers license on you at all times anyways. oh sure in most states you have 24 hours to produce your license to cops if you get stopped, however if you don't have it you have no chance in hell of talking your way out of the ticket.
