"As a bonus, gamers who play that long will end up with impressive looking forearms!"
I thought gamers already had impressive forearms thanks to some of the other activities they do.
"Some lesser known discoveries by this pioneer include the correlation between 'Detachable Penis' by King Missile and the trailer for 'The Crying Game', and the uncanny choreography of Slayer's 'Reign in Blood' with the second half of 'Shallow Hal'. Try it yourself, you'll be AMAZED!"
It's obvious they should have done some more Quality Assurance on BWL, but you do have to applaud their reasons for not putting in on the public test realms.
On the test realm, items can be duped by re-copying characters and through this any end-game area can be exploited by unrealistic equipment. BWL would have been cruised through on the test realm and any sort of suspense about the area would have been completely destroyed.
Though they still should have tested it more:-)

World of Warcraft isn't doing anything directly related to Independence day, but they do have vendors out selling fireworks!!! See their front page for more info : http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/
40% to 60% sounds pretty exceptional to me considering that the industry is aimed towards males overall. Also, how does this compare to the ratio in other areas of business?
Not counting the lower level positions, I would imagine that most businesses would be even worse off.
I was dissapointed they didn't discuss Rebellion. For some sadistic reason I can't remember, I actually liked the game. Though I was a youngin and just getting started.
Shucks.
Anyone else play Rebellion?
Well, his annoucment just mentioned them instancing the Planes of Time, so it seems like the rotation policy would still be needed for other raid bosses. Since the policies are enforced by the comunity, it'ld make sense to merge the two together rather than with servers that don't have any sort of policy.
Sounds like they instanced the zone in which the guilds were rotating their raids. If you are not familiar with the idea of instanced zones, it means that basically all the guilds can go and raid at the same time in their own private version of the zone. It's an increasingly popular way to do dungeons/zones in MMORPGS these days...
That article is a horrid write up on the incident, it says that 60,000 game consoles were siezed in the raid. Do they really mean 60,000 consoles or is it 60,000 cartridges as the article implies earlier? Also, I really wanna know if these guys were "pirating" NES games or if "Donkey Kong" and "Mario" were the only nintendo properties that the article writer knew. Herm.
...are wet with anticipation for GTA: San Andreas to come out. Guess they couldn't even wait for it to be released before they started trying to bash it.
"There are no plans for a PvP [Player vs. Player] server at release. There is no ETA on when or if we will ever have one."
Well, at least that's better then Sony telling everyone there is going to be PvP at release, then backing out on it, implementing it 3-4 months later, and debugging it a couple more months after that. Then again, with no ETA, who knows if it will ever be implemented or just another broken promise...
I have to say, World of Warcraft is awesome... I'm a beta tester for it, and have beta tested several other MMORPGs, but have never played any seriously because they never really captured my attention. I have a history with MUDs, but as far as MMORPG experience goes, I couldn't get into Anarchy Online, EVE Online held my attention for a bit mainly due to the space theme but lost it for several reasons, but I was addicted to WoW right from the start. One of the problems I've always had with RPGs is having to go out and repetitively kill monsters for EXP. While you can definitely do that in WoW, the best way to level is to go and complete quests. Its fun, and totally helps with the immersion aspect. Plus, as a beta, it is definitely more polished then any other MMORPG I've heard about. There are some bugs, and a lot of high level content is currently missing (though there is a new push soon), but right now, it is an awesome, totally fun game despite its incompletness.
I figure with the $99 bucks Nokia would have to give me to go pick up a N-Gage, I can take that and buy a GameCube. So yea, I'ld probably pick one up for $99......... That's what you meant right?
I am a Folf guy myself, but several of my friends from Boise call it Frolf. I think its just a regional difference. All the tournements and discs just refer to it as Disc Golf. Afterall, there is the Professional Disc Golf Association.
I concur, although why the Ontario Film Review board? Im not sure having videogame ratings being assigned by the film review board is a good precedent....
One could consider it good or bad though, on one hand videogames being judged by a group well versed in making these types of judgements is defintely a plus, but on the otherhand this group probably doesn't have experience with games and dealing with their level of interactivity....
Interesting story though, good to hear its getting judged instead of getting banned...
Somehow I can't quiet agree with you, seeing as how Oregon public schools last year had to cancel the last two weeks of school last year due to a lack of funds...
Sounds like they didn't get what they needed to me.
Seems like a lot of stuff I've read on this is fairly speculative or second hand information. Steam was having problems on one of the days, but didn't release an update mid-tourney. They release updates on Wednsdays, and cXg should have had everything up to date before hand. There are some other rumors floating around, such as there being no security and $100,000 worth of stuff being jacked. Apparently thats mostly BS with them only losing a few items.
The cXg organizers just f'ed up hardcore though, seems horribly organized for whatever reasons...

Must.... resist... urge.... to try....
I mean, how old is this link? I swear I saw this a year ago...

Just out of curiousity, what was the violent game that you said raised his compassion?

What a suprise, who could have seen that one coming ... ... ... ...
She should have told him to take the PS2, and given him her number...

Don't forget counting the money...

Asimov's robots were autonomous, these would only kill who we told them to kill...
