I just got my MythBox with a PVR-350 running. I'm pretty impressed so far. I was using Gentoo, but there was a lot of manual tweaking to be done. I installed Fedora Core 4, and I had the whole thing running in a few hours.
The TV-Out of the PVR-350 puts a really nice picture out. I've only had a couple of annoyances so far:
- it takes about 3 seconds to change channels - a couple channels are coming in distorted (these same channels look great on my tivo)
The cable system in my condo is supposed to be old, but I've never had a problem before. Maybe the Tivo has a better receiver than the 350. I haven't had much time to mess with it yet.
What a bunch of whining jerks. If you don't like games and/or Zonk, go into your preferences and turn them off. I did this when Katz was still around and was much happier.
You guys all missed out. Wind Waker was an excellent game to play. I have to admit that I stopped short of the end, but I really enjoyed the game.
Why are you guys so set on having a more realistic graphic style since you are older? When I want realism, I sit in my cube here at work. When I want fantasy escapism, I play a video game.
Currently there are 8 replies to your post, and no one says anything about you calling AAA batteries "obscure"! I think you would have trouble finding any sort of general purpose retail store that doesn't carry AAAs.
She is saying that wanting fancy, new possessions in the game is just like wanting fancy, new possessions in real life. What does this have to do with being psychotic?
Don't get me wrong. I'm super excited that a Firefly movie is coming out. The release can't get here soon enough.
That said, I wish it was still a TV show. I would much rather have 22 bite-sized morsels of Firefly a year.
Who knows what kind of legal black hole a future TV show is tied up in. Plus, there is already talk of more movies if this one is successful, and Whedon is supposed to be doing a Wonder Woman movie now.
I agree with the other reply to your post. I think this has been trailerized for the general public. Also, I'm hoping that the sounds in space was a trailer thing too.
I'm looking at the text of the bill right now. The criminal infringement section starts with:
`(1) IN GENERAL- Any person who willfully infringes a copyright shall be punished as provided under section 2319 of title 18, if the infringement was committed--
`(A) for purposes of commercial advantage or private financial gain;
`(B) by the reproduction or distribution, including by electronic means, during any 180-day period, of 1 or more copies or phonorecords of 1 or more copyrighted works, which have a total retail value of more than $1,000; or
`(C) by the distribution of a work being prepared for commercial distribution, by making it available on a computer network accessible to members of the public, if such person knew or should have known that the work was intended for commercial distribution.
So it seems that you would have to be committing copyright infringement in the first place for this to apply.
I know you were just throwing ideas out there, but those first two suggestions related to mounts are definite advantages in PvP. The ability to run down your opponent or mount up faster than them helps tremendously.
That brings up a good point. Why is it that you need to be an expert in arcane legalese to figure out if something that a large portion of the US population does is legal?
In the US, our right to perform an activity that seems natural to us (sharing) is protected by a Supreme Court interpretation of a single clause in the Constitution. And this interpretation is under constant attack by the entertainment industry (currently in front of the Supreme Court).
I know that other US rights are based on similar situations. It just seems so depressing that the basis of some of our rights seem so fragile.
That is the greatest idea ever. Maybe give them some margin of error. I lag out and end up in those damned things all the time. But after 4 or so hits. BAM! And make it a durability death.
Well, a cradle would be nice for the power connection unless you want to power the thing on good intentions.
By the time DNF comes out, it should be so well tested that it fixes bugs in other programs in the vicinity.
This is John Fishman from Phish. He used to wear a dress like that at most of their shows. He had this person make a sonic dress version for him.
Hope that cleared it all up.

And you would be insane to pay list price for the Dell. There are always deals to be found.
Thanks for mentioning Dia. I've been looking for a free Visio-like program.
I loved Atlantis. I also had another Imagic title, Demon Attack. I played both of these recently on an emulator. They're still damned hard.
No, the title is part of it. Just like the kid in the story doesn't want to be read the book since it sounds so girly.

If you are going to build one of these, I highly recommend using the Fedora Myth(TV)ology HOWTO.

Usually, there is a separate 32kHz crystal attached to the south bridge on a motherboard that is used as a fixed reference for things like this.

As an aside, there is also an annoying difference between C3PO's voice in the new trilogy and the voice in the original trilogy.
I haven't gone back to listen to the movies to see if there is something odd about C-3PO's voice, but Anthony Daniels has always done his voice.

Will we ever get another Whedon TV show?!?

I'm sure they've implemented a EULA at child birth. "By passing through this birth canal you blah blah blah..."

WTF! $15 for Ms. Pacman?!? Who buys this stuff?
