...on the other hand, who governs Canada simply doesn't matter much to corporations or anybody outside Canada. If you think this is true, you should consider where a significant amount of your country's fresh water comes from, and who controls said land upstream. The economic and environmental decisions made in this country can affect your water supply.
A book some of you might find interesting, with relation to the fear in todays society is "Last child in the woods" by Richard Lou. It is available at most book stores including http://www.amazon.com/Last-Child-Woods-Children-Nature-Deficit/dp/1565123913. Though it talks mostly about and other topic, it speaks a lot about how parents fears are keeping kids away from unstructured play time in the outdoors.
Today I have mod points, but I'd rather reply to this post.
At the rate that names are being added to the list, and the rate at which the USD is losing value, people don't have much longer to vote with their feet. Simply leaving the country (permanently) is hard enough financially, it's not about to get any easier in the near future. If the american economy collapses you wont see a mass exadous of people leaving the country, like you do in smaller countries. Even if the borders to Canada and Mexico remain open, its simply too far to walk, or drive for most of the population. Most of the population will be effectively trapped, even if not physically.
In Canadan (Your Northern Cousins) it is illegal to state in an ad both the name of the drug and its intended use. Either or not both. So as a result there is very little drug advertising done on TV. During a typical 1 hour prime time show i might see one (1) viewing of a single drug. Compared to the american channels which will have 2-4 ads per break.
Could what they are trying to claim, be the root cause of deja-vue? That feeling you get that you've seen or done something already when you know that you haven't. Most people will admit to have had a deja-vue felling before, but would many sane people admit to being able to see the future, or communicate through thought? Mamby there is more to our minds than we care to admit.

Actualy its not as bad as you make it out to be. Understand that as you increase the cell usage around a cell site you hit a saturation point. Once that poit is reached you need to turn on second, third... frequency bands. Most of Calgary is nearly saturating F1, with the exception of down town. So say you have a city like Huston (which uses five bands). If the last band is only used marginaly, the cost is much more than using the full capacity of all five bands. teh population density in most Canadian cities is almost perfect as to get away with using only one band. If the density were to increse slightly, F2 would have to be installed in more places and costs would go up alot.
I worked on a small pc system to do just this a few years ago. I used a pc-104 form factor. We picked up a cpu/power supply module for 200 USD, a monitor module for 75USD. I installed a linux system at the time and used it as a firewall/router between a 10Mb network and a celular modem. There was already on NIC on the motherboard i got but you can buy a module with another on it. they're realy small and have a CF card they boot from. Sorry I cant remember the vendor we used.
"The National Programme for IT in the NHS will eventually bring in services such as electronic booking of appointments and transfer of prescriptions."
Doesn't this phrase seem a bit odd in it self. Since when could you transfer a perscription a la dead tree format, nevermind electronicaly.
Back in the days when I went to school (up hill both ways) we had lectures that lasted all winter. We got to school on day, it snowed 30 feet, spring came, snow melted then we got to go home. And we LIKED it.
back in the day.
There was a mini series about this explosion
about two weeks ago. Take a look at the freight manifest for the ship. More than half of the cargo on that ship was explosive. To date it is the single largest non nuclear explosion. Period.
If you ever spend some time in Darwin you'll figure out that Adelaide actualy is balmy compared to Darwin. +25 compared to +40. Balmy vs. Very HOT. I'd take Adelaide any day of the week.
This photo of Conrad black is a great example of a bad photo better than none. This photo also won an award. http://www.cbc.ca/news/arts/media/story/2008/04/20/photojournalists-awards.html

We could put it back where it came from, in abandoned oil wells, and salt caverns. We already do this with natural gas storage. Se here for details http://www.eia.doe.gov/pub/oil_gas/natural_gas/analysis_publications/storagebasics/storagebasics.html

If you wore these long enough in cold weather (-20C or less) would you risk decreasing your core temperature to critical levels?
I'll take two.
McDonough said, adding, "It's a wonderful way to surround the consumer."

Dear people of the rest of the world,
Can't we all just get a long?
