    Can this be related to say, me speeding on the highway in US? Is it my fault the car goes 140 MPH? I mean, it wasn't me that made it go that fast, it was the car makers. Why didn't they prevent me from going over the speed limit?

    How is any ISP supposed to filter out every thing like that?

    I mean, try teaching an old dog new tricks. Of course they can't understand 4 or 5, they didn't grow up that way. Try teaching someone in the US the metric system. lets see how well they understand it and comprehend it. Granted, a lot of sciences use it , but try someone that is an English major.

    That would be kind of dumb to put a message in living cells. We've been around not nearly as long as other things like "Rocks". Life as we know it is very fragile and in my opinion not a good message carrier.

    Nuclear Powered lasers sounds pretty cool. To send out beacons my ass, they want a better missle defense system.

    Why not just halt the account if you try to log on more than "X" amount of times with the wrong password? How can you brute force that? Also, why not a key => password pair. the key can be any word like "looser" and the password could be a standard pass. Cap letter, num, special char and over 8 char long. That would increase security by a lot, not only do they have to crack the password, they have to crack the password with the right key.

    On a serious note, a lot of people would say that "nobody uses email like that". But what they don't realize is that, we will if we could. Wouldn't it be nice to advertise like that on tv and not worry about how much people mail you. Like "America's funnies home videos" or something similar, send in your video at blah@somewhere.com. It would be nice to get mass amounts of video in emails like that.

    Why are people so against cooperations? If your(not anyone specific) going to cry about how they are not taxed, why don't you start your own cooperation and invest all the profit into making more jobs and expanding your business? I know that in America, anyone can form a cooperation if they just follow the right steps. Find the loop holes in the law, they are not just for certain people, they are for anyone that finds them. Cooperations have found them, start a cooperation.

    Maybe the radiation is all the same, but how it's distributed is based on what went into the black hole? I pretty much know nothing about black holes, but this sounds like a reasonable guess.

    I hate it too. I'm a big fan of multiple desktops instead. One desktop for Programming, one for Researching shit, One for my porn and Another for something else. Its's So much easier because each desktop has its own taskbar on it. I'm sure that windows has some add on that allows you to do this, buti'm sure i'll still be rebooting all the time when I have more than 10 apps open at once, I usually crash my computer around that time.

    I actually like the idea of electric cars. For one, my work is only about 3 miles away from my house. I could use a bicycle, but if it rains or snows, or cold out, thats out. I bought a cheap car to get me too and from work and it is reliable. But with the gas prices going up, it would be nice not to spend a penny on gas. Now, I don't pay for electricty either, so plugging in a car to my outlet is no big deal to me (AF base, free utiliteis).

    Has anyone figured out how much your electric bill would go up by charging your batteries at home?

    Can you just not say anything except, "I'm not answering any questions until I see my lawyer?" Or do you have to give name if they ask?

    Yeah, it feels good when you do your part. It's just sad seeing everyone else not doing their part. I've complained to my supervisors about the people I work with. First I complained to my imediate supervisor and told her I can't take this, their is just way to much slacking off here and nobody cares". They told me to do the same. I complained to her boss and they told me that they suspected it and to keep up my good work. Nothing has been done though. I joined because I thought I could make the AF a better force and America better. and thats what i'm trying to do everyday when i go to work.

    Try working for the government, then you'll realize that this is how the US Gov works. We spend spend spend. I feel its a big waste of money to just screw around at work, but atleast the moral is high.
    i'm in the AF and can't believe how things work here, its amazing how much money they spend on things that mean nothing, and how little they spend on things they actually need. The whole chain is screwed up, if I were the US gov, i would hire a civilian supervisor that gets a percent bonus for how much money they can save, then we would care more about what we spend money on. I might be just blabbing, but this is my take on it.

    In the US Air Force, we use CAPS LOCK all the time. It sucks. It's a pain in the ass because they want so much stuff in capitals, like its better that way. I'm a fan of readability. And if everything is in caps anyways, then everything stands out, so why use it. Also, working for the government, you'll notice a lot of busted up keyboards with no caps light that works. So when putting in passwords can be a bitch sometimes.

    Lecture notes on photocopy paper sounds like a way for the prof to make even more cash off the student. I'd ask him for more money for the troubles. He is going to make his crappy ass hand written notes into a supplement book and make students buy it for likr 15, 20 bucks. I think the prof should spend some quality time typing is crap up if he want to make money off it. I mean, some lecture notes are good, but when your in lecture class, don't you take notes?

    As for mass scanning, I would definately take it to the pro's.

    I go to bed at 9am and wake up at like 4pm. This site won't let me sleep at those times. I could calculate my alertness based on this site, but I though this site was supposed to do the calculating for me.

    I just bought a NES, its great. Bubble Bobble is awesome. The graphics are pretty good too. Simple is better.
