Really. Honestly. You think it would be Smart? I know this is/. and has a gazillion Apple fans (including me) but calling it smart is pusing the boundaries.
How many times we have argued on/. about the vendors putting asinine stuff in the EULA and how many times have we agreed that EULA, if really pushed, doesn't stand a chance in the court.
Having anything in the agreement that would allow unfair use of Intellectual Property would be anything but SMART. It would be stupid PR if it blows up to begin with and I am not going to delve into any ethical issues that you most certainly overlooked when you called it Smart.
Two things that I always ask my friends to do too.
1. If you can, go to a supermarket or any store nearby that gives you cashback on your debit card. I can buy a pack of gum instead of paying stupid ATM fee AND get cashback with NO risk.
2. Use your credit card to withdraw cash (but make sure that you pay it in the next billing cycle as cash withdrawls have very high APR) as the liability on credit cards is very low.
A friend of mine who works for tech support summarized it very nicely. According to him 'Working in tech support is like living an unreality that when a client opens up an issue with the support, they imagine that a group of people in a room is working devotedly to their specific problem. And I live this for every single client'.
Shenzhou 5 which sent the first Chinese into space last year (although having capacity for three persons), Shenzhou 6 is supposed to carry two "Taikonaut" next year."
They are sending two people so that they can drive the carpool lane. (HOV lane) !!
You said it yourself. The certifications are usually anything but fancy. Most of these courses depend on your ability to memorize things and take a test. I have read a couple of the certification books and it doesn't even get close to teaching you any basics regarding the subject. I gave up pretty quickly.
The sad part is that the acronyms are deemed very important. My company actually sent out an email a little while ago urging everyone to put their 'acronyms' (MCSE, CISSP etc.) in their signatures because it creates a very good impression and I am talking about a reputed company.
I have a couple of friends who did take these certification courses, managed to get through and are doing good. WHY? The certification gave them a foot in the door and it was their persistence and hard work after that. Anybody with the idea of going through these certifications assuming that its going to get them a steady job for their life without any more effort is probably misled.
Not just the Bay Area but even upstate NY. My friend's brother, who had just graduated was looking for a job. Needless to say that he was submitting his resume' all over the place. Finally, somebody tipped him off about Craiglist.org and bam. First interview, he got right in.
Moral: Craiglist is not just for the Bay Area but works elsewhere too.
How many people actually still call for Jenny more than 20 years after release of the song called 867-5309/Jenny?
"You wouldn't believe me if I told you," dealership owner Mike Blacksher said
Dad, STOP calling Jenny or else I HAVE to go tell Mom.
This is not good. Windows is designed primarily with 'security by obscurity' in mind. The security holes indeed show up every often and we have worms making it to the gazillion windows boxes before the patch does. Get ready for a deluge of worms/virri. Another bad week/month for sysadmins.
Looks like our federal tax dollars are hard at work - improving security on Linux!
Looks like our federal tax dollars are hardly at work!
I think he is saying that if a customer is ordering a super-size offering and a Diet coke, the customer is as stupid as ever :)
That would be smart if they did that

Archimedes is said to have declared that long time ago.
So, GGW now stands for Girls in Gaming World and not Girls Gone Wild anymore?

back up SCO's claims than any of their other supporters have
The number of other supporters is not a very large number.
Actually, let me put it this way. Its a small number.
Really speaking, its a very small number.
Technically, so small that you can count on your fingers.
Possibly even using only fingers on one hand.
Well, only on the left hand pinky per se. His name is Darl.
before DVD Y Copy comes out? :)
even the fancy certifications were not enough

HP Humped Napster for Apple
Using Hamster input for music. We are now a step closer to monkeys writing Shakespeare. Its finally going to be true!
Well, I guess I have to wait 10 years for someone to make a bid for mine!

Searching for Yahoo on Yahoo comes up with about 102 million hits.
:)
Searching for Yahoo on Google comes up with 119 million hits.
Google got depth
Yahoo can't even search its own kind!
We can't find "www.sco.com"
It never existed. The Almighty says it has no old record.
Actually, its interesting that Google cache reports "Content removed at the request of the site's publisher".
today is the deadline for SCO to sue a Linux user
:)
I am sure its not gonna happen. As they say here "Don't worry too much about SCO suing anybody today 'coz its already tomorrow in Australia"
The musicians are not going to be any Less Miserable.
:)
Sorry

According to Reiss, Fox has wanted to do a Simpsons movie since President Bush (news - web sites)'s father was President Bush.
;)
Now, if they only get this quote in the movie somehow
extreme, almost "every sperm is sacred" extreme
She doesn't know that maybe only 1 in a billion slips past the goalie!
