    Can anyone else confirm that Firefox has issues with the "new and improved" yahoo mail? I am using the 9.0 RC on windows. The send button does NOT work for me. It does nothing.

    I usually use fetchyahoo to grab yahoo mail to my mail server, but thought I would check out the new features of yahoo mail.

    That's why you monitor him. Log everything he does. Set up a system that will alert you if he does anything not cool. I'm sure there's software out there that will do just that.. just take a look out on sourceforge or freshmeat.

    I've always been confused by that statement. Diet Dr. Pepper tastes more like Dr. Pepper than what? More than regular Dr. Pepper? How could that be? Perhaps they meant it tastes more like it's regular counterpart than other diet drinks? Someone help me out.

    I'd sell sonicblue's stock short and profit from their stupidity.

    Unless the rules have changed, you cannot short a stock once it falls below $5. Since Sonicblue is trading at around 55 cents, shorting would probably be impossible.

    Then I discovered I really rather enjoyed the one alternative I had left- NPR.

    If you're looking for informative news and interesting programming - tune in to your local NPR station. During my 30 minute commute to and from work, I alternate between my cd changer and NPR. There's always something interesting on there. Also, don't forget to send your local NPR station a pledge if you enjoy the programming!

    I agree. I especially like the scene where the geezers are in space defusing the bomb or whaetever, and you can see a woman film crew member with no space suit on. Take a look at all the goofs.

    So... why not go wireless?

    Because Antartica is made up of sheets of ice. These sheets of ice can be up to several miles thick. They cannot easily build towers on the ice. If they were to do this, the towers would shift slowly and gradually get out of line with the other towers. I wouldn't think that burrowing miles through ice to build towers would be an option either.

    In two+ years when it starts to act flakey (corroding battery contacts) buy ANOTHER laptop for $1200 to $1400, rinse repeat

    OR, better yet.. Get a nice warranty (Dell, perhaps?), and when the laptop starts crapping out, ask for a replacement. You just have to know how to handle the support folks. I recently had Dell take back my Inspiron 5000 that had several issues. They sent me an Inspiron 8000 refurb. Not a bad trade.
