Can anyone else confirm that Firefox has issues with the "new and improved" yahoo mail? I am using the 9.0 RC on windows. The send button does NOT work for me. It does nothing.
I usually use fetchyahoo to grab yahoo mail to my mail server, but thought I would check out the new features of yahoo mail.
That's why you monitor him. Log everything he does. Set up a system that will alert you if he does anything not cool. I'm sure there's software out there that will do just that.. just take a look out on sourceforge or freshmeat.
Diet Dr. Pepper tastes more like regular Dr. Pepper
I've always been confused by that statement. Diet Dr. Pepper tastes more like Dr. Pepper than what? More than regular Dr. Pepper? How could that be? Perhaps they meant it tastes more like it's regular counterpart than other diet drinks? Someone help me out.
Just claim you're quoting the Simpsons episode where Homer gets Bart a microphone and dreams of all the things he could've done (including saying that).
Nope, Homer quoted the old 70's Ronco commercial for Mr. Microphone. Check it out. (Ctrl-F that page for "good-looking").
I'd sell sonicblue's stock short and profit from their stupidity.
Unless the rules have changed, you cannot short a stock once it falls below $5. Since Sonicblue is trading at around 55 cents, shorting would probably be impossible.
Or how about the key between Fn and Alt? Yes, that's the infamous "diamond key". Look very closely, and you can see they "painted" over the Windows key.
Then I discovered I really rather enjoyed the one alternative I had left- NPR.
If you're looking for informative news and interesting programming - tune in to your local NPR station. During my 30 minute commute to and from work, I alternate between my cd changer and NPR. There's always something interesting on there. Also, don't forget to send your local NPR station a pledge if you enjoy the programming!
On a semi-related note, I set up a linksys AP in my room... ... I could get it across campus (half mile, and no LOS that I could see)
Wow, half a mile with a Linksys? You must tell us the hacks you did on it to get that kind of range! Seriously, I think Linksys advertises a 300 ft range on the WAP11.
I agree. I especially like the scene where the geezers are in space defusing the bomb or whaetever, and you can see a woman film crew member with no space suit on. Take a look at all the goofs.
Well, Apple Expo 2002 in Paris is on September 10th. Something tells me we'll see an announcement for the 9000 to be included in an updated Ti. Maybe a 100 Mhz speed bump as well...
Because Antartica is made up of sheets of ice. These sheets of ice can be up to several miles thick. They cannot easily build towers on the ice. If they were to do this, the towers would shift slowly and gradually get out of line with the other towers. I wouldn't think that burrowing miles through ice to build towers would be an option either.
In two+ years when it starts to act flakey (corroding battery contacts) buy ANOTHER laptop for $1200 to $1400, rinse repeat
OR, better yet.. Get a nice warranty (Dell, perhaps?), and when the laptop starts crapping out, ask for a replacement. You just have to know how to handle the support folks. I recently had Dell take back my Inspiron 5000 that had several issues. They sent me an Inspiron 8000 refurb. Not a bad trade.
I have 4 invites to give out to my fellow slashdotters. First come, first serve.

Good luck finding a brokerage firm that has SCO on their "short list" at this point.
when they can get the less broken version of it for free anyway over warez channels?...
:)
Or for 19 cents on the streets of Bangkok.
dual 1.6ghz PowerPC processors
Uh, dual 1.6's? I think you should check out apple.com.. things have been updated recently. New Cinema Display 30" out today, BTW..

...all i can do i lament a technology i'll never see.
Sounds like you need to move. That will give your home country a message.
I get the visit from the coppers, not him

Simpsons episode 9F08. Homer made Bart a "clown bed" that was hideous looking. Bart was scared of it. Hence, the phrase.

Here is a good step by step showing how to make your own. Very cool.
We are busy updating the store for you and will be back within the hour.
New products with the iTunes launch, it seems.

Here's a how-to to get RealVideo going on a linux box.
The free version is known as "RealSystem Server Basic" and supports up to 25 simultaneous users and is licensed for 12 months.
Have fun.

Question: what the heck is an I-Opener? :)

Ah, young cricket, you missed a good hack 2.5 years ago.
Here you go.

The Macs have become self-aware and created legs to run around and reak havok!
;)
Kinda like Professor Frink's auto dialer machine which sprouted legs... except for the part about creating havoc.
So... why not go wireless?
