I would like to see the comparison of viruses/trojans written for windows vs. viruses/trojans written for Mac and Linux desktop. The ratio is probably something like 100:2:1
The george lucas saga of making money will never end. We all know it. The problem here is that over the last couple of years not only have their movies been 'average' at best, but the games are seriously getting worse (in my opinion obviously). SWG was cool when it first came out but after two months I was bored out of my mind and hopped back on JK2 (1.2). That game had to be one of the best ones yet... funny as hell. That is until you applied the 1.3 patch which most people uninstalled anyway. Then JK3 (academy) came out... it was basically JK2 1.3 but a lot worse.
I'll probably stick with WoW and HL2 for the next year or two before I even think about another lucasarts piece of crap.
For your information I am republican. I'm sorry but the way you - and many others - are thinking is just plain crazy.
Political parties aside, You are basically saying that in 4 years you can walk back to your job with no problems. You may be right, however the majority of americans who are losing or have lost their jobs don't have that luxury.
You also want to blame the rising costs of health insurance on people like John Edwards just because Bush said so is just plain ignorance. You, in addition to many others, are going to have a harder time maintaining your household income due to the devaluation of the amercian dollar, poor economy (face it... numbers don't lie), and the rising costs of health and other insurances.
Look at the facts here: 1. It's war-time (not one but two!); spending is going through the roof 2. The economy is poor (we are losing jobs, devaluation of the american dollar, lost investment in the US)
To top it all off, Bush is GIVING tax breaks! That means what little money the government is taking in - it's already spent; hence we are in serious financial chaos. This is exactly like living your life on a credit card. Now they are asking congress to 'raise the roof' on the debt allowance. Why don't you people get it? More money is NOT the solution; we need accountable fiscal responsibility.
If taxes were to go up (which I am guessing they would have under Kerry), I would have to go find a job since we do not depend on our little outside jobs to pay bills.
That's the problem with our society today. Everyone wants a handout, and in this economy we can't afford one. Do you honestly think taxes are going to stay where they are? Ok perhaps they will for the next four years, but guess what? They will rise and you will have to find a job. Then guess what? The job you are so highly trained it - software testing & documentation - is being outsourced to India because it costs 75% LESS to pay someone over there than it is to pay you. No offense but your skills are not specialized.
Hopefully more car and truck manufacturers will start incorporating better technology within their vehicles. I bought a 2003 honda accord with voice recognition and a sweet gps touch screen. Bring on the technology!!!
has to be Doom 3. I was so excited about playing it - the graphics looked deadly!! After months of waiting I went out and bought it and played the damn thing for about a week. Doom 3 was all graphics and no play. Once I played it online it felt like I was playing quake 3 again. Boring.
I think Id hyped this game up too much and added very little - if anything - to the actual game-play. I'm looking forward to the mods.

of why stem cell research needs further capitalization. We are scratching the surface of what stem cells can really do for us! Hopefully Bush will read this article and wake up. Science and technology are the only initiatives (right now) that will push mankind forward.
I for one don't mind paying 50-80 bucks for an online game. But I have a problem paying the full price for a game in addition to a monthly subscription. Sure it's a great business model for the game industry however it's not a good bargain for me as the consumer.
