With the amount of detail and textures that need to be loaded, and locations changing - it would be hard for the game to cache the data AND process what you are doing while going towards the new areas
some things have to be sacrificed to make way for others, in this case - graphics > load time

as much as i want to see one in action, the next james bond film comes out next year - i'm sure we will see it being used in all kind of great situations there.
What did you expect, if a game sells exceedingly well and is popular with millions - whats the point on risking money and time on creating a new game, when there is guaranteed finance in creating a sequel.
