I know you intend to be sarcastic, but...a lot of what you are saying is how the rest of the world views Americans. Especially the part about the arrogance...
Everytime I type google.com in I get redirected to google.ca. I've deleted my cookies, rebooted my browser, tried again, same thing. Does google redirect me according to my ip which would be in a range specific to Canada? This bothers me on a subtle level, but also makes me think about why there is no google.cn, that's all.

Stupid viddy won't play in Mozilla. I thought most everyone had come around.
I wish more of the Slashdot editors behaved the way Timothy has in this article. I find his views to be informed and interesting and take them with far less of a grain of salt than I do the rest of y'a;;.
Let's hear it for a renewed interest in posting comments instead of just letting stories sit.
I once spent an entire afternoon playing with pieces of thrust up ice on the lakeshore by my parents home. Each piece of ice carried a different tone and by subtly changing their orientation and the level of the snow around them I was able to tune a major scale and play with it. An afternoon well spent.
You should hear an Armonica. It can be disturbing to say the least, ethereal is a very apt word. I've actually had the opportunity to play one and.....there's nothing quite like it. I'm solidly surprised that no one in pop music has touched on it. Many attribute the basic ideas of the polyphonic synthesizer to the Armonica. Listen to it.
Layne Staley was the vocalist for Alice In Chains, one of the finest bands to come out of Seattle ever, thank god it was before Nirvana, lol. Layne was an amazing vocalist and really showed his ability and emotion on the two acoustic albums "Sap" and "Jar of Flies". Someone I personally will miss a great deal.
How many true artists care about where their album stands on the charts. The charts are one of many ways for the artist to feel validated by their hard work and accomplishment. To be honest, I think Moby's just being upfront and "real" about how he feels about all of this and the fact that he's wondering about it can have the positive effect of creating a dialogue amongst music fans about his point.
BTW, if anything, Moby sold out last album with the licensing of "PLay". Note that this album is not as easily bought for commercial use.
Not to be the guy that's too into this, but Samuel L. Jackson has publicly stated that he asked George Lucas to write an honourable end to Mace Windu. George apparently agreed.........can't picture Sam Jackson being cool about a backstabbing death. Mace has to die for something important.
You respond to me assuming that I'm American.....funny. I wasn't trying to imply that the Chinese government was the only one in the world with problems, just stating that I take issue with their problems. I take issue with many problems including your lack of comprehension.
And btw, buy some new clothes, you're starting to smell.
I don't hate the Chinese people, I hate the human rights violations commited by their government. You know, the ones which are ignored because of the whole "world superpower" thing. From the downtrodden peoples of Tibet to the students in Tianamen Square the outcry has not been loud enough.
I personally watch for 'Made in China' labels and try not to monetarily support the Chinese. Of course the opposite could be argued, that by pumping more money into the capitalist ends of their country we might help to swing them our way..........but meh.

What to say...hmmmmmmmm...look for the order in the chaos of Mr. Bungle. It's very strongly there. It just sounds like quitting smoking feels.

He was that kid in that old Stephen King movie that wasn't scary.

So really, what about Loom?
Hey........What about Loom?
One of my favourites is hibernate. Definitely worth checking out, expect an album soon.
Now if you were Matt Damon, which would you pick?
Isn't it obvious?
Funniest sig ever, for those wondering, all is explained here.
Simply put, he was in The fucking Who.

Slick little goatse.cx link in there. Whoever modded this up is an ass.

*WE*, as consumers, should be the ones who limit the powers of the corporations. All it takes is putting a little more thought into your purchasing.
Do you honestly believe that line about the "kindness of corporate strangers"? John Galt would have slapped you.
Jackass. Jackass. Jackass. You must feel profoundly dumb........karma to burn, still over 100.
Ummm, I think he was being sarcastic.
Umm, maybe you were too....damn.
