Really, why not? Is it that big of a deal to support it? Many people love that interface, but have pumping money in a PC to keep it current. I WOULD put a console on my desktop. I'm that much of a gamer...
My collection dwarfs that in total number of games and number of consoles covered. I could take a picture of it, but then it would just be a picture of an Xbox.
I largely ignored the N64, but there's a world of great games for it I'd like to try. Got my 1st taste from that Zelda Collectors disk that came bundled with my NGC.
You're right. Yes, a zelda collection is like a box set of all led zeppelin albums. That would work for me. a mario collection would be good too.
Hey, we don't have to buy the Barbie collection!!!
I agree. I love most of the games you listed. I just bought an XBOX. The ciing on the cake is having it so easily modded and putting those games on the HD for easy access. And XBMC rocks too.
I specifically bought it for FPSes, Western style RPGs, and popular cross platform games. Still have my NGC, but I've only kept the 1st party titles like Mario party, Zelda, Metroid....
I think they compliment each other well...
People won't migrate, it'll just seep in....

How the PS3 Hit $600

No one is going to buy BluRay or HDDVD player, but in a year or 2, when the chinese are craking out DVD players that happen to play BluRay and HDDVD for $50, and output HD to component with a menu hack (hoping for this!!!), then we'll see movement....
- Only HD capable device I have (an I use it at 720p with XBMC)
- AFAIC it's a dead system, so roms are free.
- lots of emulators.
- my wife likes Baldur's Gate & D&D Heroes, so lots of quality time spent together there.
In 5 years, Apex, Daytek and 100 other Chinese electronics manufactures will be selling BluRay/HDDVD/DVD combo players that will ignore ICT/MACROVISION/WHATEVER for $50 at bestbuy. And they'll play any other media format under the sun to boot..
How about big freaking hedge through the middle of that world, toss in a talking Zebra and a Clown fish on some wacky adventure on a train to the north pole...
Come one people! Think!!!
I take episodic content to mean something like, buying each chapter of a novel separately.
I take in game advertising to mean a reference to buying available in the real world that is not related to the game, like an ad for tampons.

I agree. I live in waterloo and had to go to cambridge Ontario to find a new one for $177.00 (holiday bundle). I modded it right away though

No one is going to consider the adjusted cost of a console and how it stacks up to other in history.
