i had to do this in some sort of therapy when i was 6.
It was some stupid tortise and the hare game in which i could win as the tortise based on how relaxed I was...and I had to hold these 2 sensor things in my hands.
why on earth would he start screaming about the patriot act before he was tased?
police have the right and authority to uphold the law using force. I personally would use a taser than physically drag him out, but i guess in the end they wound up having to do it both ways.
the legality of asking for an ID is not questionable. Especially not in the instance described at this stupid left wing hippie college.
i mean honestly, did you expect the police to just stand there and not do anything when he refused? "Well guys, he says no, what should we do? I mean, we cant really do anything, so I guess we just leave this nutjob here"
lol...hardly... homeboy is lucky im not a cop. as I stated earlier, i would have tased him between punches to the face.
and to think, this whole thing could have been avoided if he just did what he was supposed to do.
Disclaimer: I do think this whole 'patriot act' thing, as it were, is going a bit far into the reaches of our privacy etc etc. But in this particular instance, the guy got what he had coming to him.
question...did the guy ever once in the video say "i cant stand, sorry, you just tased me"? Or was it some portions of his prerehearsed speach in between screams?
Say hello to well timed enter points for the video.
Home boy was asked to leave because he couldnt provide ID. He wouldnt get up to leave. Being some dumbass trying to make a stand.
Well he stood against a taser.
He was told 'stand up or get the taser'...
I dont buy the 'he just got tased so he couldnt stand up' argument because he had plenty of strength to go on his pre-rehearsed patriot act speech.
Cops arent salesmen who are there to get you to do something you dont want to do...theyre not selling compliance. Cops are there to enforce the law. There has been entirely too much lenience given to people who dont comply with the law.
I personally advocate deadly force to anyone deemed uncooperative.
Like it or not, we have to comply with our law enforcement officials.
If you have been wronged, there is a channel to handle that. Being a dumbass and screaming in a library about abuse of power is not the way.
Given the way this happened, the fact that there was some camera phones around, the way he acted, that speech he gave after he was tased...this was nothing more than a setup.
I would have tased him in between punches to the face.
Well, as far as formats are concerned, the only thing standing between what you can and cannot use on the ipod is a simple right click.
As far as it running on linux, I can't help you there. but of course, I am not so sure I want to.
i would rather have a headache than buy that product based solely on the annoyance and obnoxious factor of the commercial.
I do not buy gap clothing for the same reason.
Annoying me is the quickest way to get me to not purchase your product.
bothers you how?
because it shows a white chick dressed in white grabbing the face of a black chick dressed in black?
it wouldnt bother you if it was the other way around
burn in hell
now mod me down
if i had mod points i would definitely mod this funny.
even though I am excited about the next gen nintendo console...but that has more to do with blind loyalty than anything else
but i can say that even though some people are trashing it...youre still talking about it and as a result, it is in the forefront of your mind..
you may not buy it...but someone you talk about it to might.
Yeah my question is this...if you take the time to put this CD in your box and answer the questions..you obviously want someone to know how you feel otherwise you wouldnt take the time out to fill the questions.
Why is this an issue?
They probably just keep the rips they dont have and build up a database over time.
And if people want to nitpick over a slightly different version of 'thriller' by Michael Jackson, then they can burn in hell and deserve to get ripped off.
Plus if the customers CD is scratched, they still own the music, so they deserve a backup and a way to get to it. Getting a backup from an alternate source is not illegal AFAIK. Especially when you send in the physical CD and say "hey punk...i own this"
Yeah but GOOG has proven that they intend on making their money by being honest (as possible for a corporation) and not evil. I have yet to see google force anything down anybodys throat or play dirty ball.
MSFT has always played dirty and forced their ideas over on other people without providing an option, or at least hiding the option deep in contextual menus.
GOOG hasnt done that. They put their products out there and say "look what we have created. Do with it what you wish...within reason"
Being about the money is fine, but the route you take to get there is what sets you apart.

how is this new thing 'new'?
I can say this with all certainty.
My mom has always hated video games..ever since I got a NES when I was 8 or so. She would play duck hunt but that was it.
I brought my Wii home a day or two after I got it proclaiming "mom, get ready to see the coolest thing in the world"
I got the typical "yeah yeah, just another souped up nintendo"
I showed her wii sports...specifically bowling.
Well...lets just say that my Wii is still at her house and shes gone through 3 sets of batteries.
When I first brought it over, i showed up around 8pm. She played til 5am..woke up at noonish...and played until midnight.
Nintendo acomplished their goal in my family. They didnt grab marketshare...tehy expanded the market.
I have already bought my mom a Wii for christmas....because she said "Son...this is what I want for christmas"

I guess we should get out our tin foil hats too right?

Dialup was king around those times... Most people had aol as their ISP...DC service didnt work with aol. Enter the stillbirth of online DC play

The small sacrifice in sound quality is well worth the portability and flexibility that comes with the format.

The only one getting the attention is the white on black one. I hate the liberal media.

if tivo made a wap page for scheduling they could bypass verizon...but verizon offered them money im sure to not do just that.
Agreed. I have made essentially that same comment numerous times.

Cue animal rights activists.....now.
Lets all rush out to buy sony PSPs so we can have something to do with that extra silly disk.
yeah but did you buy it or did you get an 'evaluation' copy?
dude, that kicked ass.
I actually work in a media outlet and THAT is EXACTLY how shit goes.
Fluff is what I call it.
Everybody just does what they want with whatever they find. Anyone who tells you different is LYING.
ooohhh yeeeahhh
