I hope they do land in Arizona with the intent of abducting cheap labor to build things and pick crops on their home planet. They can have all of our illegal Mexicans free of charge! All they would have to do is stop by almost any street intersections, Home Depot, and Lowes and pick them up.
What about the tons of other flash card carts for the DS? Why single out only the R4? I've had one in my DS for a few years now (bought one when they first came out) and it's still running strong. I've done all kinds of things with it too, ebooks, mp3, etc. Of course you can play pirated games but no one forces you to commit infringement and put pirated games on it. There's plenty of legal homebrew. So because the ability to use a device for piracy is the court going to make computers, DVD players, CD players, etc. illegal as well?
It better have good multiplayer. I haven't even touched the single player campaign of MW2 but I play online daily. Play the Medal of Honor beta that's out right now and then say multiplayer doesn't matter. DICE doesn't seem to think so with the crap job they did on MoH's multiplayer.
The people coding Facebook seem to be not in touch with their users. Every time they upgrade it they make the interface worse and piss everybody off. You used to have the status feed and the news feed. So the status feed wouldn't show any game spam just your friend's status updates. So they got rid of that. Then the news feed let you sort by game type and other filters. That was too user friendly so they got rid of that. Now you just have the news feed where if you play any of the social games you see tons of spam unless you hide it. But if you want to help friends in a game you can't hide it. Everyone is used to using the gift system so they are going to get rid of that now and force any gifting to personal email accounts outside of Facebook. They just added their own currency system so they can screw the (mostly) game developers out of money when it's those games that really caused the boom of Facebook users. They'll probably keep it up and the next new social network will rise and everyone will ditch Facebook.
Stan: Just bring up my Facebook page and see what it says my status is!
Kyle: Well, Stan I have to harvest my crops before it's too late.
Stan: Dude! Fuck your crops! (walks up to Kyle's corn and starts ripping the stalks up)
Kyle: Dude! Dude okay! Stop! I'm sorry! (pulls up Stan's status) Says that you are currently... hosting an online chat party for all your friends.
Stan: Where?
Kyle: Café World.
Stan: Son of a bitch! (runs back to the barn he came out of)
Buying a physical copy of a book, downloading the text version from IRC, and reading the physical if I feel like or reading the text on my no DRM Chinese 7" Chuwi media player that has a great ebook reader application for it. Then when I'm done with the book I can give it to someone else to read.
I have a cheap HP triple core AMD system running Windows 7.0 64 with an Nvidia 9500 card outputting 1080p to my TV and digital audio to the receiver. I used to use my 360 with media center streaming from the PC but having an actual computer hooked up to the TV is much better. Wireless keyboard and mouse, couch, and a beer. I'm set.
I agree. I rarely go to the movies anymore, maybe once a year. This movie was worth the price to see it in 3D. The attention to detail in the CGI is amazing. The story like everyone else has said is a rehash of Fern Gully, Dances With Wolves, etc. Predictable, but not bad. The 3D isn't pop of the screen gimmicky 3D either it really adds to the depth of everything in the movie. This may be the first movie I pay to go see a second time.
You are wrong. The Japanese ignored the Potsdam Declaration. They never offered to surrender and said they would fight to the bitter end. After we dropped the nukes on them and the Soviet Union was poised to invade Japan they had a change of heart.
Same here I have a few hundred friends I don't know because I play a lot of games. I could set up security for them but I don't have anything on my Facebook account that a stranger couldn't see. You don't know me but want to look at pictures of me wakeboarding, hiking or whatever photos I post? Have at it.
Guess who started it? The US or Japan? Whom was also warned what was going to happen and they didn't believe us. They were wrong. We should drop a couple more and let the world know we aren't a bunch of tree hugging pussies.
Or you could actually learn how to use Facebook. You know that thing that says "Hide" next spam from any Facebook application? Guess what it does... It's not too hard... It "hides" the application you will never see spam from any friend from that application again. Amazing eh? Of course if you are so dim you can't figure that out and you must unfriend your friends then carry on.
Another expensive ebook reader. I'll stick to my 7" Chinese Chuwi M70 PMP. No it's not e-ink but I don't care for e-ink anyways. I don't need any proprietary formats or DRM either. I want a adjustable brightness/contrast back lit ebook reader (text format) which my Chuwi does flawlessly and plays most music formats and HD videos as a bonus. I don't have to worry about my connected device deleting paid for books at the command of a publisher either.
I downloaded and played this game a bit when I was on the road a couple months ago. The game was so buggy and full of connection issues I didn't play it again. Next we'll hear about them shutting the game down.
You should get paid but I haven't found one place I worked as a salaried (exempt) software engineer that will pay you. I was on call 24/7 for a good 10+ years without pay. When I was hourly I was paid because I was non-exempt. I have been woke up in the middle of the night countless times by people calling from Asia or Europe.
That's exactly what ST TNG was. A soap opera for geeks.
I read Singularity Sky and Iron Sunrise from Stross and liked them both but haven't read anything else. Now if Stross made a TV show that could be compared to ST: TNG he may have some leg to stand on. But he's a novel writer and has written some good hard sci fi along with a lot of other types of short stories and novels. When he writes a successful sci fi TV show then his comments about hating ST: TNG and BG might have some weight.
What happened is black Jazz musicians took a liking to it and our government demonized it with a lot of propaganda to make it illegal.

The beta was terrible.
the beta is so bad no one will ever actually play the release version.

No they should be prosecuted. Somebody's god did this!
No they didn't. Chicken and cow framed whale and dolphin!
And made the title "53484954 My Dad Says"

I'm 40 and the game is Modern Warfare 2. There's a million puzzle games if you are 40 and want to act 60!
Thanks to the tritrium I can now see in the dark! Thanks Vermont Yankee!
