1. Arousing or tending to arouse sexual desire or interest.
2. Slang. Highly appealing or interesting; attractive: "The recruiting brochures are getting sexier" (Jack R. Wentworth).
Well... personally i didn't try to install anything fancy on my box, xserver died on the upgrade nevertheless. Popped up DSL, made a backup of my/home and made a clean install. That, a run of automatix later and some file copy paste and my trusty thinkpad r31 is up and running.
So... I guess the only thing I could add to the discusion would be a "even in a vanilla installation, s/dapper/edgy/g your source.list may destroy your xserver"
BTW, I was using the dapper drake version localized by the www.ubuntulinux.jp/download folks... so that might have been the real problem. Which means my machine at work will remain Dapper until 2008.
Tough the localization should be expected, there are too many puns in the game that english speakers will be left without (item names, play with kanji, the title itself)... hope they get it right. And someone get a book on old japanese tales, since the game is ripe with parodies and weird cammeos.
BTW, Amaterasu is called "Our mother Goddess" by the rest of the zodiac, tough her avatar as the re-encarnated shiranui is that of a male wolf (even subject to fall for cute girls).
Yep, like... er... puresute-shon. In japan the people would just call it either reboru-shon or, wait for this, "rebo". Not a big deal, they may be anal in a lot of things, but english pronuntiation is not one of them.
To my wife "wii" (uii) is cuter than reboru-shon. Also, it doesn't sounds like having anything to do with the so called (IT kakumei - IT Revolution). Didn't feel like explaining to her why americans think is dumb.
This comment I'm writing will likely just fade away, as it adds nothing to the discusion. I just had to salute you. You're rigth on track. My home country would benefit a whole lot more from cheap pc's than anything else, since while it thrives in electrical infrastructure, it's money sucks when trying to buy even second handed technology.
You are right, they make this sort of stuff even when translating movies. Things like subtitle-ing the character's name before it's even introduced within the film. It's also common to put a whole synopsis of the film on tv before showing it...
It sort of dropped today. In Japan. I got to pay 1000 yen less, as it seems that most retailers (asobit, bic camera) are selling it at 38,800 something yen.
Also, dead or alive 3 is working, even tough it's not listed in the japanese site. Not really amazed, but in makes me wonder why they haven't released that info yet.
About the quality of the emu... ninja gaiden black gets slugish pretty often... even if no enemy is on sight. Bleh...
Thanks to the incredible effort of Koizumi and Co... and as a way to spend less energy in air conditioning...
We can take our Jackets off, don't wear a necktie, and *gasp*....
use short sleeves.
Only in summer... part of the "cool biz" tripe... Now we have a "warm biz" thing going on... but it looks more like a way to sell gay sweaters than anything else (Not that there is anything wrong with that!)
I worked in the last generation of this phone (the n900i... the one with dragon quest) and, as a phone, it worked perfectly. The rest of features where a nice bonus too. Not enough to spend my money buying it, but, hey, I am just a poor gaijin anyway.
The only thing I never really tough well of was the penchant for 3D java avatars to use while TV-phoning. What's the point of using an avatar in video-conference, anyway?
That and the lousy boot time... but it's not like the phone has to be off all the time.

2. Slang. Highly appealing or interesting; attractive: "The recruiting brochures are getting sexier" (Jack R. Wentworth).
Still,it shouldn't forbid you from accessing it.
This is what i'm getting now:
Forbidden /interstitial?url=http://www.test.com/ from this server. (Client IP address: xxx.xx.xxx.xxx)
Your client does not have permission to get URL
Yeah, you either just delete the inters-whatever-itial part and go directly to the link... but is not something a none geek would think of first.
Funny, this morning I spotted this in a 7 eleven before catching the train to work

Koei is releasing a few of their old games in a memory stick. No installation, plug and play.
Dunno about the DRM though...
The default search page of Mozilla Firefox in Japan, is Yahoo.jp (owned by sofbank)
Just some random info.
The Freakazoid! made it look cool, that's why
>Linux is more like the geeky hot asian girl who can cosplay anything, has all the cool technology, and stays true to you.
:)
I'm so gonna use this as a sig, only paraphrased as : "Linux, The Shoko-tan OS".

barely any games kept being produced for the Dreamcast, that's what's bad for you as a consumer.

Is to know at least one way to make clippy go. OS wipe out is my favorite.

they just have to know...
That is not exclusive of the xbox, you can get at least 10,000 yen discount in a lot of electronics if you contract broadband from a number of ISP's.
I got a monitor way cheaper this way.
The os is multilingual. I have mine set to english. No problem at all.
The only diference seems to be the region lock. That's about it.

It's called spending "quality time".
/me envies you...

By contract I am bound to wear a suit every day at work. I'm just a coder, but that's the way things are over here.
Wearing a suit in Japan is not a matter of fashion, but of conformity... man I hate it...

Bad thing is, Nintendo rarely shows in the TGS.
Oh... you were being funny?
Released in June? http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/03/24/news_61210 32.html
Well, the first one truly helped me out at work, where hundreds of badly organized .c files lie. Just hope it's not too bloated.
Wonder if there will ever be something like this for linux...
KH2 is still on schedule, worry not
Of course is not meant for Doom 4... is for a date Simulator!
