I have a ps3 but have never bought blurays however walmart has new releases for around 20$ to 24$ canadian. The dvds price around the same within 10%.....the blurays used to be 30-35 but with the american dollar tanking and bluray becoming more commonplace i see these prices as pretty decent (not that there are a lot of decent movies to put on said bluray disc)
I have a coworker who plays slot machines and if someone plays one for a long time and then leaves he jumps on it, and you know what, it pays out, he makes about 5000 a year on profits from slot machines by going every other weekend for a few hours...which are hot which are cold....you dont think slot machines are truly random do you? once he wins even a little bit he gets out of there before he can lose any earnings
21 however is a fixed game with math, slots are not....however you seem to be very cynical towards gambling, you know what its entertainment because you might win something and people enjoy it
the server harddrives are treated just like desktop drives and the new policy is that regardless of clearance of data on the drives (even though 99% of it is useless and public info), they will be sent to a destruction facility at whatever base has it (ottawa for one) where they are shredded and then melted to slag, there are huge furnaces for this kind of thing
also, any proper email system would have software installed on it that would duplicate emails for certification (Kind of like a sarbanes oxley compliance) so it can always be synced with a server up the chain...so your regular email server can be trashed and still have every single email sent to your mailboxes at a more central location....there are different procedures in place for the grading of data but as a general rule and when in doubt, always treat it as top secret and just have everything destroyed properly, why take the chance that some user who didnt know better accidentally saved something on the harddrive he wasnt supposed to
Crimping Coax? Im guessing you've never dealt with security cameras (bnc connectors) or satellite or cable or any residential video systems (coax is a type of cable and not a connector)
While I agree with your venting to other employees only and never say anything bad about a client, frankly Im glad I live in canada and at a real job, you cant be fired without a verbal warning, written and probation...now if you do something thats criminal or causing a severe safety issue, then you can be let go immediately but for having a bad day..sorry
I would have to say this PS3 game has been my best...I havent played a lot of games, Ive played bioshock, it was right up there too but this game has lots of replayability and it has excellent atmosphere and felt like it was the right difficulty on Normal...platform elements were fairly easy which is good because falling off cliffs pisses me off..
gunplay was very fluid with hiding behind objects and terrain and felt just right as well....excellent cutscenes, enjoyed the first half of the game more than the second but it was a great game...
The reason you put the username@hotmail.com is because there is also msn.com msn.ca for the ISP subscribers... hotmail.com hotmail.co.uk etc etc...would be rather limiting if you could only use your nickname and not have different domains......it is probably the worlds biggest web mail service...
I am a hellgate beta tester...and I have yet to play it. I signed up, got an account then read everything carefully and noticed EA's crap about ads...something which I quit BF2142 over. I do not need EA spyware on my pc.
I watched the dvd of this movie...and I have to say, it was one of the most boring movies of all time. I'm sure when it came out it was , ooo look at the fancy graphics and setting..but seriously..this movie dragged and dragged..and my friends and I had this theme of renting "classic movies".
The week previous we had watched apocolypse now redux..this has hands down got to be one of the worst movies of all time..it is long, it is pointless and it is very very boring
does anyone even care about blade runner? i doubt it
I know for a fact that militaries around the world use sea can's as mobile command posts and comms posts...google just made it commercial...military has been doing it for years
I am pretty sure they instituted duty fees for taking an american bought, new vehicle over to canada to prevent things like this. It was on the news a few months ago because of all the people going to detroit and buffalo to buy cars 33% off
I played and beat bioshock in about...6-8 hours...nowhere near the 20-25 the reviewer mentioned....I only harvested a single girl and now im evil..you have 3 endings, girl killer, girl harvester or saviour..come on i saved about 95% of them...and the ending i get blamed and the world goes to shits...talk about canned endings with no variability.....i also felt the control scheme was a bit lacking...it felt like it was definitely designed for console, from the mouse movement to the menu layouts...it felt like i was playing oblivion..
Also, while the storyline was great, the extreme lack of interesting things to do in the game and the extreme lack of enemies was irritating..the enemies just ran away all the time and by the end of the game i just ran through and finished it to get the plot points instead of visiting all the extra areas..frankly this game is overhyped...no multiplayer? i say rent this game once, play it, beat it, be done with it
I have had nothing but good experiences with acer, when I bought mine I was specifically told the warranty was through acer itself (unless you bought the 3 year extended radio shack/the source by circuit city) one...
needless to say i fell asleep and knocked a glass of water on the keyboard and it caused the lcd to really darken (the backlight didnt work at all on the lcd) and they paid both ways shipping and i had it back in 2 business days all fixed, and i just formatted the harddrive from linux before i gave it to them and through the default rebuild image back on in 5 minutes, problem solved, why even bother say youre using linux to them?
I have a broadcom 4318 on an acer aspire 5002 and I have tried every linux distro that is currently out there (every main one anyways) and I have given up...I have Feisty installed on a partition on my laptop with grub but it hasnt been booted in months, because my xp just boots up and works and thats the way i like it...
I know my broadcom wireless sucks but if everyone has it, make some drivers for it!
But what if he likes to play starcraft/warcraft 3 or games that require a mouse...or likes to play counterstrike or something of that nature...yes consoles are great because i usually dont like to play games on my pc after all these years (pc is for work , not for games!) except i love the halflife series as well as fallout (yay ps3 support) and starcraft and i have a feeling ill need my pc in windows to play starcraft 2..but i dont dual boot i have a p3 550mhz with 256 meg ram running ubuntu for banking and everyday things
No offence but being alongside the military, I can say that many of my coworkers do own harleys and are part of hunting clubs on the base, gobble gobble!
Seriously though, I read the title and it would be something to expect on April 1st. "Terrorists are able to simulate real life weapons in World of Warcraft", yes because we know all terrorists can learn hand to hand combat via a video game where you click on a target and it mindlessly starts hacking away
1000 messages a month? How many cell phones does this kid go through a year? We have blackberries and cell phones at work for signout and they are abused beyond belief. Missing buttons, unresponsive buttons, you name it. I don't see how their phones dont wear off the buttons in a month or 2.
I read that Vista was the last 32 bit operating system to be released by Microsoft on standard pcs ( not counting emebedded devices, etc.). Now it says there will be a 32 and 64 bit version? I have to say, why bother. Try and find a decently cheap new computer that does not have 64 bit....you can buy an athlon x2 3600 processor for a mere 50 dollars... On top of that, Vista wont even officially support my NForce 2 Ultra chipset and its only a few years old, so how can anyone expect decent 32 bit support in Windows 7?
I recently went to Feisty Fawn from XP/Vista. I've dabbled in linux many times but never kept it around. I finally went and did the switch because I have a PS3 for games (mainly playing ps2 games and renting the ps3 ones).
I could not be happier...vlc plays my movies, im comfortable with the odd command line (apt-get install vlc-player) i have azureus and limewire...all is well:D I do work on the side for people on their pcs and its amazing how many request me to get rid of vista and put their old xp back on once theyve gone and upgraded....keeps me in business!
my laptop is still xp though! (for some reason I have issues on occasional live video streams for instance all the ones on proelite.com (mixed martial arts). I am happy for the fact that i come home, turn ubuntu on and just use it...i dont have microsoft telling me what i should and could do....im a convert and i have samba sharing up my movies folder to my xp media pc in the basement (itll be linux once i figure out how to reliably get my tv tuner to work)
I beg to differ. I take home a 120 inch screen from work now and then with a dlp projector that can do high def and its a cheap way to go when i want the occasional HD for my bluray on my ps3. I do not have kids, so I do not need to "get out of the house" and get a babysitter or something.
I'm perfectly happy with that during hockey playoffs and big events. Although it is hard to go back to my 32" sony wega CRT after the 120 inch....
frankly im not fond of paying 10 dollars per person for a movie that may or may not suck , plus snacks, etc. I also cannot stand others talking during movies and events or answering cell phones, count me out, ill stay home thanks!

For the record, dont go buy a mazda 6 then, as the fusion is based on the mazda 6 sedan..thats why its one of the me reliable fords =)

Id have to disagree....CFB petawawa has approx 15000 people in it...hardly empty

What about Alt+Print Screen, it only captures the active window...
i can think of Turtle Beach and Zalman and AOpen and Chaintech
