However, Slashdot has commentary that is so much better then the article itself. So many of the links posted are, well, BAD on Slashdot, but still the userbase comes and comments on them, and that is why I come here.
Now now, I wouldn't trust a site named paypalsucks.com to tell me fair and balanced news about paypal. Let's all wait for Fox News to tell us if there is a danger to using Paypal.
The reason we let the federal government take care of the finance for this kind of stuff is because the federal government has access to all of america, where there are people of varying levels of income. I've heard from someone that in New Orleans, 28% of the population lives below the poverty line. Could they very well pay for those levee's by themselves?
Another interesting thing in Canada is the migration of Mackerel from California further and further northwards, as the temperature in the water there rises.
Maybe it's not the homework that's the problem

but homework is only a symptom of the problem. We've all had bad teachers before, teachers that assign us busywork and don't truly teach. What's the point of being in that class if your not learning? My best time in class was when I was in American Literature with a teacher who did know how to teach, to make the books at least somewhat relevant, to help those who needed help and to show that there was a point to it. My worst experience was with a physics teacher who was the opposite. I can honestly say I doubt he grasped what he was teaching us, but he piled on the worthless work. Hours and hours on projects that didn't help us grasp any physics concepts.
Homework is a symptom in this case of bad teachers IMO, who pile it on without thought.

Is anybody at all surprised by that? Do we really want the Chinese(a good link would go here) to have ANY say whatsoever in the governance, for the entire world, of the internet?

I'd say 10 to 20 years would be good, as most of the other people responding to this were thinking of just a couple years, which is too short.
Sailor Moon is no longer licensed in America, and there is nobody that looks like they are willing to license any part of it.
That's not a pole dumbass, it's the cape-trailer thing coming off the back of the "dancer". Get your mind out of the gutter.
