Just last month I threw out, oh, 10 pounds (two bins) of Farallon AAUI transceivers. I kept even a couple for the Laserwriters (umm, yeah, I definitely kept some).
I finally lost all patience with Madden when he completely blew his coverage. It was the equivalent of a cornerback hitting on the cheerleaders while his man scores a touchdown. During a 49ers game some years ago he was narrating a video feed of seagulls and missing a 49ers touchdown. We saw it on the replay, but it's not the same.
What is much, much, much more likely is that Linux and Tiger were given as examples of operating systems that aren't Windows, rather than as operating systems that might be ported. Well, Linux will be, but Tiger ? Unlikely as all hell. Maybe 10.5, but Apple sure hasn't been compiling its OS for the PS3 all along like it has been with the x86 architecture.
Safeway.com has rebuilt their site twice this year from my observations. The current version seems to be a little speedier and has a fairly quick connection to the database. I donm't know if they're still using a Tesco-inspired solution, by now they have plenty of experience of their own. And I haven't had a Mozilla/Firefox issue in months (used to have to load a special page or MSIE to complete the transaction).
Albertsons.com is due another look, but their favorites system wasn't nearly as useful as Safeway's. Due to geography I'm usually at a Safeway in RL, so my club card had built up a nice list of what I buy when I first logged in and it continues to update. Very handy.
I suppose his own delusions helped him be convincing and kept the money coming in.
One thing you gotta say about having a delusion person as CEO: when he pitches the company to investors he will come off as a 100% sincere True Believer. Someone who obviously believes the claptrap they're spouting and the bullshit.ppt up on the projector, well... maybe they know something we don't. They don't, but a CEO can be assumed to be an expert on his or her company's. Well, a SAVVY VC might not, but since a VC generally knows jack about a company before the pitch it's likely a sincere "expert" will be very convincing.
And this is why sociopaths and psychotics do so well in business.
Rumor has it that MK1 was originally supposed to be a Brandon Lee vehicle. That would partially explain why it's "Enter the Dragon" with monsters (good line). MK1 was pretty good, despite the occasionally lousy acting.
The park should do fine if they go with the George Clinton/808 State soundtrack.
Can't be a good idea. All the 3rd party publishers are waiting on the PS3 launch to start getting their investment back. An extra year before you can sell your game ? They'd scream bloody murder.
The usual practice for street numbering in the USA is to assign each block a 100-number block. Some cities (in Arizona for example) actually make an effort to keep it at 10 blocks to the mile (6 to the kilometer, but that's a side effect). That way a street address actually tells you where the place is physically located. It's not GPS resolution, but less than 1/10th of a mile resolution just from the address isn't bad at all.
And the king of all workgroup printers, the Laserjet 5si. Possibly the last great b&w laser printer. Great for high volume printing, and all of the ones I've worked with appeared to be made of unobtanium since they don't break like the 5000, 5100 do.
Fiorina was a mistake. Anyone who said otherwise was dead wrong. The Compaq acquisition was a tragedy. The only thing that's going to keep me looking at their laserprinters is their continuation, however poorly, of the 5si design stylings so their internal layout is still familiar when it comes right down to it.
Ok, that's harsh, but the 5si was the last high quality product they made. We've got a pretty nice 2U ( I have the serial but not the model handy, how's that ?) but it's dripping with Compaq design styling.
This is some of the best advice ever posted on Slashdot. Rule 5 should be standard procedure for any interaction with a peace officer interested in you personally.
Short summary: Sky One ponied up some cash for the production and got the right to show it first. There's some speculation that the high download numbers of the season one episodes helped convince Sci Fi to pick it up for a full second season. For the second season Sky One didn't have any investment, so they're getting it a little later.
So because I chose not to write about what the teacher wanted, I got a lesser grade. Should I have just given in to the teacher to get a good grade?
Yes.
An awful lot of our (probably any) educationalal system is teaching conformity. That was the real lesson. If you don't like it, go with hippies (worked for me) or homeschooling. And yes, it does suck mighty hard, cope.
In this case, taxpayer dollars were paid to denigrate my friend's religion, and he took action.
What action ?
Prior to the assignment, however, all topics of research and lecture were about evolution.
Which means your friend went outside of the material covered. This almost always results in low grade and an 'F' is easy to justify. You missed that point entirely. It's not necessarily a question or religion since academic discipline is involved. Frankly, your friend added to the teacher's workload and cost the school a significant amount in legal and administrative expenses. I'll bet you can see 10 things the school needs more money for from your desk in any class. Because your friend didn't want to do the assignment given and made up his own topic (the material covered kid, remember that) your school was disrupted.
A well thought out paper within the guidelines of the assignment. I recieved a 'C', which I could not argue.
I'll take your word for "well thought out". However, I'd suggest posting it as a journal entry. I'll read it.
So because I chose not to write about what the teacher wanted, I got a lesser grade. Should I have just given in to the teacher to get a good grade?
No.
If you'd realized it [1] ahead of time, you'd have committed an act of civil disobedience.
The class act would have been to also do a paper on the actual topic and hand that to your teacher when you get the one on Creationism back. If you can do that and maintain both your and your teacher's dignity, then you get a win and some respect.
I've got this one, having JUST finished rereading the last one, I was sitting smack in the middle of their target demo. Eleven chapters in, I haven't spotted a typo or glaring grammatical error yet.
On the other hand, Weber does have Harrington on the same parabolic curve to demigod status that she has been in sicne book one. This may turn some folks off. But if you're still reading, it's still just as good. The writing in the 'romantic' spots has certainly improved enormously.
Attack Vector: Tactical is a hard-science wargame that actually manages 3d vector-movement in a tabletop game. It really is rocket science, but the designer worked prodigies to get it workable in a game you can actually play.
Their second game (August 05) will be based on the Honor Harrington series. The Saganami Island Tactical Simulator will use the same system and be supported by a line of miniatures.
All the physics geeks and all the space combat geeks need to check this stuff out. Their What's New page has daily updates of real space travel news.
Yup, the polaters can make some good stuff in WoW, but the best items are still the Epic quest items from instances that take large groups and long hours to beat. So far as I understand it, the quintessential player-driven economy is in Eve. Build gear, build ships, build a big-ass space station, take over a whole sector. It's also the only MMO where even screenshots rival WoW for art direction. I think Eve's graphic engine may be more buzzword compliant than WoW's, but both are very well designed and a treat to look at - the portrait creation tool in Eve would make a good party game in its own right.

Ok, I've got a good trivia question. More states' names begin with what letter than any other ?

Just to be politically incorrect for a moment....

Would it benefit Ferrari in the long run to have every ghetto curb filled with Ferrari's?
It seems to be working for BMW and Mercedes

Loser. WTF is that man on television ?
Drop me a line, I can hook you up with the licensing for the puppet. And would be delighted to do so.

Sloppy writing in the article, no plans by Apple.

Not necessarily in that order.
Try throwing the children and sacrificing the fireballs. Might work.
Well, we're off topic but...

Maybe in the next design cycle.

I'd try that, but I'm in San Francisco. The guy behind me wouldn't pay it either.

And they managed a nice M*A*S*H reference in SG-1 tonight, and a Blues Brothers one as well.

[1] I'm a Buddhist. Intent matters. A lot.
That's interesting. Also, the same site is reporting that best Buy has dropped retail on the BSG set to $49.95. That's not bad at all.

Somebody please mod the parent as flamebait. She was violently attacked and fought back.
