As the co-owner of TWO 1986 Ford Mustang GTs, one of which is my daily driver, I can attest to it being reliable. The other is also a daily driver and sees the same reliability. In addition, my house also boasts a 1979 Ford Granada ESS, 1995 Ford Mustang V6, 1997 Ford Expedition XLT 4WD, 2001 Ford F-150 XLT 2WD, and a 2004 Ford Mustang Mach 1. Any of the older cars are just as reliable, if not more so.
But then again, I guess me being a car enthusiast like I am doesn't exactly put me into a normal demographic for vehicles. =]
I've been using Google Pages on and off since it first came out. It has always seemed to me to be rather... basic. This is especially true of the file manager. Does anyone have any idea about a possible upgrade to a better file manager, possibly involving the use of directories? FTP support would be really nice too.
For those of you who are unexperienced, I advise you to take a look at Oblivion if you have free time and gaming interests you. Like the parent stated, 40+ hours is guaranteed. There is no way around this. I barely even touched the storyline and did a ton of sidequests most of the time. I managed to clock in 74 hours before leaving it where it sits. I've been planning on picking it up again, but life has been throwing me curveballs and I don't have the time. The world is just so.... expansive. You'll never be able to cover it all. You really should experience it.
Oh yeah, and by the way, EA really does need some innovation. I like some of the games, but let's see some cool shit already.
Right. That's what I was trying to say. Sorry if there was a miscommunication. I was saying the GCN version does not have the PS2 features, but the Wii version will.
I'm kinda with you on the "It's 100 points more" thing, but I have to point this out. 100 points is 1 dollar. 100 cents. 100 of those copper coins. In my area, this is about 0.357 gallons of gasoline. Come on. Just pay it. It's not all that much when you put it in perspective.
If this is saying we're going to have real-time physics in the GTA series, I'm all for it. I honestly love GTA and I think something like this would make it all the better, all Hot Coffee jokes aside. Although they are pretty funny.
I dunno, we had lawn darts, slip and slides, and other "fun" activities.
You know, you're completely right. I am a sixteen year old and a junior in high school. I'm just about the age where everyone (myself included) is getting a driver's license - freedom to do what you please. I have realized that times just don't sound as fun as they used to. Just last night I was talking with my stepfather and his friend after working on a car about 'the good ol days.' They talked about how they would go out with friends all the time and do things like ride dirtbikes and cars down dirt trails in the woods. They mentioned cruising cars and hanging out with some buddies on a Friday night down at the local Shopper's World. My god, what I would give to have that. I've come to realize that most of the world has become dicks and just about anything fun has become illegal. I mean, sure, it was before, but the police usually turned an eye because nobody was doing any harm. Now, I can't even get into a fight to settle my differences and then just have it be over with. If I get into a fight, I'll be suspended (possibly expelled) from school, possibly arrested, maybe even fined. The more I hear about how things were just 20 years ago, the more I wish I could go back, slow computers and all.
Okay. I don't know jack shit really about quantum mechanics or any of that good mumbo-jumbo. Bear with me.
How do we know the fourth dimension is time? Who decided this? How did they decide that? If they just said it, isn't it completely possible also that the fourth possible dimension is not time, but rather taste? Just wondering.
Absolutely not. Although you may be mostly correct in the consumer market, this is not the truth at all. I don't see the gamer market completely moving to notebooks at all. They need modularity that notebooks do not provide. Same with heat dissipation. What about the HTPC market? Did you think about the development market? Workstations for corporations? I don't see everyone switching to notebooks anytime soon. Just my 2 cents.
Not to try to be an ass, but most sites are designed nowadays for 1024x768 or more. When was the last time you LIKED browsing at 640x480? I would've liked to have seen an HD option (even if not in game) but at least for this reason.
IIRC, Sony hasn't released/created (whatever the case may be) video drivers for Linux yet. I believe you have to use the framebuffer (or something like that, it's late), but I think I remember hearing that you can still output up to 1080i.
1080i is interlaced first of all. So I'm going to go ahead and deduct half the pixels, since you only get half per frame anyway
1080i = 1920*1080(0.5) = 1036800 pixels per frame, 60FPS, meaning 62,208,000 pixels per second.
2560x1600 (progressive) = 4096000 pixels per frame. Assuming 60FPS again (standard), that is 245,760,000 pixels per second.
Unless I'm mistaken, 1080i just got owned by a scale of 3.951.
Yes, you can argue that that computer monitor and computer to run it costs a lot, but so does your 1080i HDTV and 360. Check your facts. Computer guys don't want to run 1080i because it sucks. Even a lame (by high end gaming standards) 1280*1024@60Hz beats 1080i with 78,643,200 pixels per second. There is just no comparison here. A decent computer (~1k) can run that with a cheap (sub-250 dollar) monitor.
My old CPU (Athlon XP-M 2600+ in a desktop OCed from 2.0-2.8GHz) ran AT MOST 60 degrees Celsius. That was in a warm room under load.
My current CPU (Athlon64 3000+ in a desktop OCed from 1.8-1.935GHz) runs regularly around 31 degrees Celsius. Under heavy load, it hits 38. In the winter when my room gets cold, it even drops to about 28 degrees.
The coldest I've ever seen a CPU run on air cooling was my 2600+ (from above) when I had the intake for the CPU heatsink fan ducted out of my window. On a 12 degree Fahrenheit day, the CPU idled at 14 degrees Celsius.
No, no no no. That is only part of the solution. We need to locate their biggest airport and strike at the same time by sending them snakes on a plane.
Yes, you are correct. However, the point is that the creators of the game decided to use the M4 and AK as 'comparable' weapons filling the same niche. I wasn't trying to compare the detailed specs of each weapon, but rather use a weapon that was different between teams and performed the same function. You can take my previous example and apply it to the SG552 and the AUG if you so desire.
I disagree wholeheartedly.

Oblivion is an amazing example of a good game.

He's only claiming it's longer. With the reality being shorter, it is both shorter and longer at the same time.
Are you new here?
Right. That's what I was trying to say. Sorry if there was a miscommunication. I was saying the GCN version does not have the PS2 features, but the Wii version will.
Yes, you could. However, it doesn't have the PS2's extra features. I'm also assuming they're going to add Wii-only features and control schemes.
Am I the only one hoping it will make its way to the PC as promised? Or did I miss it being released?

Isn't that what they make flux capacitors out of?
*ducks*
Disclaimer: I did not RTFA. =)

You hold good points, but then explain to me why downloading a Linux distro (take SLAX for example) is faster over Bittorrent than FTP or HTTP?

Questions? Comments?
Even Windows ME is still run on some computers.
Where? They must be quarantined!

Buddy Builder
I'm not sure, but I liked the Hitman: Blood Money soundtrack. There are also a few others. Quake, QII, QIII.
Pentium III? IANAL, but isn't this defined as failing to defend your patent in the first place?
